It is baffling to me just how fast the taxidermist invoice gets shuffled to the bottom of the pile.

I get it, life happens and in most house holds the hydro, phone, cable, internet, insurance, school supplies, kids sports, food and fuel come first and taxidermy bill is not a priority.

However your unpaid taxidermy bill "Is a Priority" in my house hold because without it I can't pay for my Hydro, phone, cable, internet, insurance, food, fuel, etc.

I am certain that the majority of customers would be upset if on payday your employer said "Something has come up....I'll pay you next month."

If as a taxidermist we treated you with respect and quality work then please return the respect and take care of your business.

This Old Warrior of a dog had plenty of scares to tell the story of a battle filled life. He was missing an eye lid, split lips and ears and a tore up nose. Proof he didn't back down from a scrap very often. This old coyote was also a very big animal. Another mount ready for pick up.

I usually don't post pics of my mounts before the are finished how ever the last 3 pics are of a big coyote I recently mounted and it is drying before I finish the airbrushing and final touches to the habitat base.

Well what can I say about the first two pics. My good friend asked if I could do a mount just like this and I said I don't think so. I honestly don't think I could make it like that... without a tremendous amount of work. The hu**ed back and sink cutout base is classic. Wow....just wow.....I'm speechless.

As most taxidermist will agree we enjoy doing the same old mounts. This is how we make a living. But there are times we are presented with a special project.
A long time customer of mine had an idea for bear mount in his house. After I saw what he was wanting I knew I was up for the challenge.
After making a replica beam and numerous modifications to the form the bear came together nicely.
Yesderday I delivered and hung the bear up for them.
My client and his wife are more than pleased with this very unique mount.

Ok it was well worth the wait. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to hunt these amazing animals with Kelly Readman of Redman Trophy Big Game Hunts back on October of 2019. After 5 days of failed stalks we finally got within bow range and of this fantastic bull.
In the pictures you can see the arrow in flight before hitting the mark.
I finished the mount just recent along with the last package of bison burger.
This was one of my top "Bucket List" hunts of all time and I have a memory for life now too.

The Fallow Deer is one of the most widely distributed deer species on the globe. Very hearty and adaptable these deer lend well to introduction to new habitats. They are an absolute blast to hunt with rifle or bow.

Well keeping current on my social media posts is not one of my strong suits.
So I will be posting some of my animals from New Zealand over the next little while.
These Chamios were introduced to New Zealand in 1907 and flourished. They are quite challenging to hunt as they live in the steep alpine. They are called the "Antelopes of the Southern Alps".
