Can you believe it’s Year 5?!

I’m so incredibly grateful that we’ve made it this far. The last few years have been fun, challenging & beautiful.

Highlights over the years…
Building our high tunnel & walk-in cooler.
Deep diving into winter tulips & dried flowers.
Bringing flowers to you with the Flower Cart.

Our favorite thing over the years has been meeting all of the Flower Lovers in Sevier County. We honestly can’t wait to bring the blooms to you in Year 5.

Special Bouquet for a Golden Wedding Anniversary.
I think it was a perfect sentiment to give Everlasting Flowers to his Everlasting Love 💛.
We are still making and delivering beautiful dried flower gifts. And we’re thinking about making special editions for Valentine’s/ Galentine’s Day.

2024 Loves 💕.
We loved learning a new way of growing. Last January, we started the year by growing tulips in our basement.
This helped us expand our growing season by two months. And having flowers for one of the biggest flower holidays of the year, V-Day, was amazing!
It was also a lot of fun to learn a new way of growing & connect with other flower farmers. Thanks !
We learned so much and we are already on track for tulips in January.

Thanks so much for purchasing Everlasting Flower Gifts from us. Here’s a few tips to keep your Dried Flowers looking great!

🌻Display them out of sunlight. Sunshine can fade the bright colors, so don’t put them right next to a window.

💐Although the air is pretty dry in Central Utah, the flowers may reabsorb moisture. So it’s best not to put them in your bathroom or in an area that has a lot of steam. Like next to a stove or sink.

🌾Everlastings can be delicate. I’ve heard a lot of “destruction horror stories “ about toddlers & pets. Try to find a display area that’s away from curious hands/paw.

✨And yes, they can get dusty. The best way I’ve found to combat the dust is to use a hairdryer that has a light setting. From a distance & gently, blow the dust away weekly. This can keep it from accumulating. Please, do a gentle test run first to find the right setting & distance.

💕Dried Flowers do not last forever. But they can last for several years. All of our wreaths & arrangements come boxed , so you can store them properly.

October is my Favorite.
The golden light, the perfect, last dahlias & the beginning of Chrysanthemums. Cooler (livable) temperatures, Autumn leaves & of course, Pumpkin Spice.
It’s also one of our busiest months. The Fall Festival “hustle”, planting thousands of bulbs, cleaning up dead plants & still slinging flowers to our customers.
I woke up this morning & realized it was the end of the month & vowed to soak up as much October Love as I could today. So, get that PSL, crunch some leaves, visit our front porch & grab some fresh flowers & enjoy the last golden rays before Winter.

We think about Water a lot.It’s our main job in the Winter to keep everything watered. We have no outside water until April so we have to fill up a water tank and haul it down to the high tunnel. We also need to make sure crated tulips stay moist during all the stages of growing. And of course water our baby seedlings daily. Unfortunately, Central Utah is in a serious drought, AGAIN. We’ve barely had any moisture in over a month. And the outlook for our water region is very poor. Which of course makes us really concerned for this Summer.It sounds dismal, but let’s all hope for a snowy Spring? 🤷‍♀️

2024 Loves💕.We loved having help!I have always had the tremendous “help” of my parents. They have been partners in the flower farm. They’ve worked so hard each and everyday. I am so grateful for them. But as we’ve grown the work has become a little overwhelming.So we were so happy to have two great employees this year. My niece has been a great help with planting, bouquet making, delivering & morale boosting! She’s so creative & we can’t wait to see what she does this coming year.We also hired a great guy to help us with the harder chores. We were so lucky because he is such an awesome worker & person. We were so tired around August & he just took charge of some of the worst jobs on the farm. I really can’t thank him enough!!

2024 Loves 💕.We loved these 5 flowers.Amazing Parrot Tulips are pure Sunshine. Especially forced in March when it was still cold & snowy.Rose Lilies are so Dreamy. This spectacular one is called Accolade. We can’t wait to grow more.Russian Statice is such a cool dried flower. You snatched it up when we bundled it in our everlasting bouquets.Strawberry & Cream Dahlia was an amazing surprise to me. It produced so many different , beautiful blooms.Saffina Chrysanthemum was not new this year but it really produced so many long lasting, gorgeous blooms.What was your favorite this year?

And finally we have my favorite.The Fall Flower Subscription 💐. Full of the most beautiful dahlias you’ve ever seen.What else is in there? Oh just everything! Just a few Everlasting Flower arrangements we’ve been working on.I’m always on the fence on what color palette to choose, but I always seem to choose the bright colors . We had a lot of beautiful pinks oranges and purples that we dried this year.Don’t forget to come and see us in Elsinore on Saturday. We will be there 11-6 at the old school house, 35 East 200 North. I’ll be bringing lots of these chalk painted mason jar arrangements. I can box them up and they would make a great Christmas gift.
