It’s our favorite day of the week!

We’re back at Blue Grass Garden Centre Red Deer from 11-4 today!

We’ve got our Christmas cookie kittens making their adoption debut, as well and some adorable puppies.

Meet Bob!

Bob is a sweet, silly, big-hearted dog who wants nothing more than to be near his people and enjoy the simple joys of life: playtime, snacks, fresh air, and love.

Outdoors? He’s all confidence and joy.
Inside new buildings? He’s still like: “Umm… are you sure about this?”
But every single day, he gets a little braver and a whole lot prouder of himself.

Bob love, love, LOVES to play fetch. Most of the time, he’ll bring the ball back… but sometimes he decides the game is actually “you try to catch me,” and honestly, he thinks that version is way more fun.

Socks? Oh, those are his passion. Doesn’t matter who you think they belong to—Bob knows they’re his. And yes, he’ll chew them. And no, he will not apologize. If you didn’t want him to take them… well, you should have put them away.

One of Bob’s absolute best traits? He LOVES cats—in the sweetest, gentlest way.

As for dogs, he thinks every single one is just a buddy he hasn’t wrestled with yet. Dog friends = the best friends.

Bob sometimes forgets he’s a big boy and will attempt to curl up on your lap like a tiny puppy. If you let him, he’ll happily snuggle forever. Not into giant-dog-on-lap cuddles? Totally okay—he’ll settle beside you or at your feet, content just to be included. He loves his people, but he’s also respectful of space.

He’s the kind of dog who would happily join you on every adventure… but is just as thrilled hanging at home with the family. All he wants is to be part of one—and after everything he’s been through, he truly deserves it.

Bob is a 4-year-old Collie/Pitty mix, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered for a special adoption fee of $350.

We've got kittens at Pet Valu Timberlands ! Choose between Shadow, Oliver, Triscuit and Ritz! All four little kitties are loveable, fun and ready for their next big adventure!!

Can't decide on who to take home? Why not adopt two?

All kittens are up to date on shots, dewormer, microchip and spay/neuter. They are available for $200 each or 2 for $350.

❄️ Calm Lab Pyrenees puppy available for adoption ❄️

Meet Little Blizzard, a 3 - 4-month-old male Lab / Great Pyrenees mix looking for his forever home.

Little Blizz is a sweet, gentle puppy with a laid-back personality. He enjoys being outdoors, but at the end of the day he wants to come inside and be part of the family. He’s not high energy — he’s more of a “let’s explore, then relax on the couch” kind of pup.

He’s just starting to enjoy toys and playtime, and his confidence grows more every day. He is basically house trained, with only a couple of accidents due to an upset tummy (which has since resolved).

Little Blizzard came from an accidental farm litter. While the rest of his littermates were rehomed, he was left behind and tied on a chain. A kind family stepped in, knowing they couldn’t keep him long-term in their apartment but also knowing he deserved a better life. They reached out for help — and that’s how Little Blizz found his way to us.

Little Blizz will be making his debut appearance at the Blue Grass Christmas Market this Sunday. Adoption applications can be pre-filled to speed up the process, but no meet-and-greets will be scheduled prior to the event. Anyone interested is encouraged to stop by and meet him.

• Received his first vaccination
• Been dewormed
• Been microchipped
• Is eligible for a delayed neuter (recommended for large-breed puppies)

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate large-breed puppy who wants to be a true house dog, Little Blizzard may be your perfect match.

Meet Doja!

OK, be honest - it would be pretty cool to call up your friends and be like, "Hey, Doja Cat is at my house - wanna meet her?"

And they won't even be disappointed that Doja is actually just a cat - because she's flipping AWESOME.

Once she's comfortable, she is a total snuggle diva, who just wants to spend all her time with you. A bit of a princess, she expects the world and nothing less - but in return she'll be a friendly, loving and sweet accomplish in all your shenanigans!

She doesn't really looove other cats, but if they don't pester her, she can coexist just fine! She is up to date on her shots, dewormer, microchip and spay for a special adoption fee of $100.

Doja Cat has already spent more than a year in the shelter...it's time for her to get out, don't you think?

Meet Messi!

This is kind of a special plea - seeing as Messi is still just a puppy.

This little guy is an amazing boy, who just seems to be overlooked...and as he get's older, we just know that he's going to get lost in the system, and he's truly too good of a pup to fall through the cracks. We would absolutely LOVE for him to find his forever home before the holidays - because he deserves it so much.

Messi is a 4 month old pitty x and is super duper smart! He has all his basics down pat, and is housetrained, crate trained and does well on a leash!

He likes other dogs, but can be a little afraid of new dogs in his space and can seem very timid. (He had a bad experience and is now working on getting his confidence back!)

Once he's comfortable (and it doesn't take long!) he becomes spunky and playful - so if you do decide to meet him, don't judge this little book by the cover! There's sooo much more to Messi if you just give him the chance to get comfortable and shine!

Messi is loyal little guy with the sweetest little mug and he loves a good snuggle session, just as much as he loves to go for walks, or to play in the backyard with the kiddos in his foster home. He's going to grow up being the best dog for a family!
