⭐️⭐️⭐️MEET BOOKED ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Meet Sophie!!
This sweet little Cockapoo was brought in my bylaw a few weeks ago. After a lot of back and forth due to her microchip, it was confirmed, that she was no longer wanted, and the rescue could take over her care...
And man...this girl expects some care!
Sophie is a dainty little diva, with a Spaniel nose, a heart of gold and a snore that rattles the windows!
Sophie doesn’t bark when she needs outside. Nosirree, this refined young lady simply walks to the door, stops, and gives you the over-the-shoulder "What's taking you so long!?" look. She is fully house trained and has never had an accident. Because she's a total QUEEN.
She had a crate… and used it approximately twice. Sophie prefers the back of the couch, a pillow throne, or simply being near you — not necessarily on your lap, but close enough to supervise your life. She loves to be close by and would love a house where someone was home most of the time!
At night, she sleeps soundly right beside you, sharing a pillow and yes… she snores. Loudly. Like a tiny, adorable lumberjack. (Not very Queenlike...but shhh...)
Sophie is an absolute darling, but she’d do best in a busy, multi-generational home where someone is home often and there’s plenty of activity for her to observe. She loves people and is especially sweet with children — at first she's a tiny bit timid, but totally melts into their touch and attention.
Now, about dogs…
Sophie is very clear about her boundaries.
She tolerates the small Schnauzer that visits often, but only in a “you stay in your lane, I’ll stay in mine” way.
She walks well with big dogs, but she does NOT want them in her home or sniffing her royal self. A queen is only a Queen if she's the only little lady in the house!
With more slow, positive socialization, she may become more comfortable — she’s already shown improvement. She would love to be in a house without any dogs, but a house with a small dog that will respect her space could be OK too.
She LOVES her walks and needs daily outings, ideally at a pretty good pace. Her Spaniel nose will take you on a full investigative adventure if you let it.
She’s wonderful in the car — no whining, no barking, no motion sickness, just a polite little passenger checking out the scenery.
And in true “Sophie is full of surprises” fashion, she didn’t bark for the longest time… until she decided she should loudly announce any people approaching “her” house. (She takes security seriously.)
Her coat is high-maintenance, and she will need daily brushing to stay comfortable and mat-free.
Sophie has had quite the adventure over the past month or so and while she has every chance, and every reason to be snarky or aggressive, she has not been. Through it all, Sophie has been nothing short of a sweet, comforting, loyal little companion, and she will make a fantastic best friend for the right family.
Sophie is a 4 year old Cockapoo and is fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and spayed for an adoption fee of $450. LOCATED IN RED DEER.
