About our current puppies –
Before we get into the specifics of each individual puppy, I would like to address a few often asked questions –
Male or female? It is personal preference, in my experience, the females tend to be more independent and to develop mentally a little bit faster than the males. Males tend to be more powerful and to be the head turners after their structure and coats mature.
I have heard it said by many breeders that a girl dog will love you, while a boy will fall in love with you.
What eye color? Eye colors can change for up to 12 weeks. Blue eyes are the most striking. Green and Hazel eyes tend to color shift in lighting. Dark eyes tend to turn brown in a few weeks. Heterochromia is a combination of color, commonly refurred to in Aussies as marbled or mixed eyes.
Ice and Fire Litter vs Knights and Princesses
Keep in mind that the K & P litter is 10 days younger than the I & F litter. It’s difficult to judge between litters with an age difference of a week or more. Keep in mind that in only 8 weeks these puppies go from tiny little seals to hearing, seeing, walking, eating on their own, exploring their world, and developing human interactions and relationships.
I & F litter is the one for you if you prefur larger dogs, thick but not plush coat, active and intelligent, proven versatility bloodlines. Shekel, Buddy, and Copper are full siblings to this litter. Tequila and Indigo are half siblings.
K & P litter is the one for you if you prefur average size Aussies, showy plush coats (these puppies already look like little cotton balls), very laid back and docile, proven show and quiet, gentle lines. Onyx and Beka are half siblings.
The puppies -
Nova –
This blue merle girl is a carbon copy of Echo, she will likely have 1 brown and 1 blue eye. Personality is exactly like Echo as a puppy, a little bit dirty and dramatic, confident, dominate, and heavy b***d. She will likely be a larger female.
Laika –
Blue merle female with great balance, likely 2 brown or heterochromia eyes. Very stable and even keeled, confident but not reckless, she likes attention, is active but also knows how to relax. I think she will be a lot like Phoenix, average size and bone. We named this puppy as a tribute to Laika, the cute little Russian space dog who sadly didn’t make it home.
Eclipse –
Black tri female with a soft and selfless heart, brown eyes. This little girl is by far our most cuddly and velcro in the litter, she is always standing on our feet looking up with great eye contact hoping for some attention. This puppy will make you, her world. Not fearful or reckless, she weighs her decisions before acting, average size and bone.
Rocket –
Red merle male with a very outgoing and confident personality, green or hazel eyes? This boy is like a red merle Echo. He holds his tail high and loves to explore, very intelligent, he was one of the first to walk and to climb over the whelping box gate. This boy is going to be a show stopper and an adventurer, larger sized puppy and bone.
Infinity –
Blue merle boy with a name that suits his personality – boundaryless, possibly 2 blue or heterochromia eyes. This puppy loves to explore, likes people, prefers a group, a little bit cautious initially but he will still venture. His markings and eyes look like they see right through you, first puppy to play with water, smaller puppy with average bone.
Quasar –
Blue merle boy, personality somewhere between Rocket and Infinity, likely 2 brown eyes. This puppy is pretty level, he likes people, doesn’t mind water, enjoys exploring but still a little bit velcro, is confident, and inquisitive, average size and bone.
Halo –
Red merle female personality is a little bit dramatic and dominate, heterochromia eyes? She’s more talkative than the other puppies, likes to play, very attentive, likes to get under foot and be a part of everything we do, I think she will be a lot like Phoenix – you may never have another shower or have to eat your sandwich alone, larger female and heavier bone.
Dipper –
Red merle female with a spirited personality, heterochromia eyes? Possibly 1 brown and 1 blue? This little girl has been a fighter since the day she was born. We nearly lost her but she came back with tenacity. She is a Little Dipper in size but has the personality of a Big Dipper, likes to play, check out new smells, loves her food, and doesn’t mind a nap in the warm tub. Very cute puppy, I think she will do anything that she puts her mind to, smaller size and bone.
Godiva –
Red merle female with Chaos personality, full white collar with a section of merle coat in it, heterochromia eyes? 1 brown and 1 blue, possibly both turning brown. She is one of the more active puppies in the litter, smaller and very plush, prefers to be with her littermates, is inquisitive, alert, cautious but confident, smaller with average bone.
Francesca –
Black tri female, very classic striking black and white coat, eyes are still dark so a little hard to tell but probably brown. Alert, very social, intelligent, outgoing, she is walking all over and often watches us over the gate, plush coat, an even level of active to laid back, average size and bone.
Kendric –
Red merle male with a super chill personality, this puppy will steal your heart, and your couch, and your bed. Gorgeous wide full white collar and connecting blaze, 2 blue or heterochromia eyes? He’s chill like a marshmallow, doesn’t mind being held and snuggled, he’s going to be a real bombshell head turner. Very fluffy, larger size and heavy bone.
Mirran –
Red tri female very laid back and very dark red, our only natural bobtail, about ½ - ¾ tail like Tequila. This girl is very confident, outgoing, social, plushy, she likes exploring, if I personally was going to keep a puppy in this litter Mirran or Francesca would have my eye. There’s something special about this girl that I haven’t quite figured out yet. I do think she’s likely the most laid back of an already very docile and quiet litter, she reminds me a lot of Titan.
Anastasia –
Red tri female sweetheart, eyes are still changing so hard to tell on color. Dark red with a tapering full white collar, she very loving, strong desire for a human connection, she has good eye contact, loves physical contact so she will crawl into our hands to sleep. Good balance of active to laid back, beautiful markings, plush coat, smaller size and bone.
Leif –
Red merle male, somewhere in-between Godiva and Kendric’s personalities. Eye color is still changing, could maybe both be blue but just as likely brown. He is very calm but still active, confident with caution, he will explore but won’t dive in head first without consideration. Very stable, even temperament, calm, quiet, plushy coat, the lightest merle in the litter, average size with average to larger bone.
