Last week while doing some dog walking for an amazing client, a came accross a situation. I noticed what looked like cat prints that tracked over a snow bank, and under a house.😔 Sure enough, there turned out to be at least 3 cats living UNDER A HOUSE! After doing some investigation, I spoke with a neighbor who has been feeding these guys, and she told me that this cat has been living under that house for at least 3 years! 🥺
I believe he's at least 5 or 6 years old, and has been nuetered. After a week of feeding him and getting him to trust me, I'm going to try catching him today! He'll go to the vet for a work up, checking for a microchip, vaccinations and testing for any diseases. He's truly a sweetheart, deserving of a real home.
If anyone has a spare bedroom, preferably in a quiet home, where this guy can decompress and await a spot in a rescue, please consider helping! I don't have any room, or I would take him in a heartbeat! If you are unable to take him in, please share with anyone you think may be able to assist!

Just a reminder that we will be closed the remainder of the week, for some much needed R&R! We will reopen on March 31s...

I had the pleasure of looking after these two sweeties recently! Lily & Nova!
Lily tugged at my heart immediately, as she reminds me of my own sweet Molly! You see, both Lily & Molly suffered severe tail trauma, resulting in amputation. 😪 Luckily, both survived their ordeal and are thriving!
The resilience of cats never ceases to amaze me!🥰❤️

I thought I'd give everyone an update on Cookie and her kittens! If you remember, Cookie was dumped on our acreage back in April '24, pregnant and very scared.
Well, Cookie had 6 beautiful kittens that I was desperately trying to find homes for. No one came forward, so I reached out to SOS Prairie Rescue, who, within a week, contacted me to tell me they had a foster available!
So, after caring for these beautiful little souls for almost 8 weeks, getting them their first shots and nursing two with eye infections, off they went to their foster home!
The foster mom, Summer, took such good care of them, giving them tons of love and teaching them the ropes of indoor living! I was able to visit them regularly, and watch them grow and develop. When they were finally posted on their website for adoption, I watched as first Kai was adopted, then sweet Annie then Georgie! The Sprout and Fudge were off to Excalipurr Cat Cafe, who partner with local rescues to find homes for our poor homeless cat population! Chelsey is an amazing, fierce cat warrior and we are so blessed to have her!
I watched as Sprout went off to his forever home, then Fudge. Their sister Helen, was then brought to the Cafe, in hopes of finding her forever. And just before Christmas, a miracle! Helen found her forever! ❤️ All six were in their new homes for Christmas!
I wanted to highlight how hard the rescue community works to ensure all these discarded souls find safety and love. It's a massive, soul crushing job at times. They are all heroes, and I cannot thank them enough!
I've attached a couple of pics of Helen & Sprout off to their forever homes!
Oh, and Cookie decided this was her forever, so here she shall remain! ❤️

A reminder to people who are planning a trip to warmer destinations! Make sure you have someone checking on your house every couple of days while you're away.
I arrived to do a House Check for a client today, and the furnace wasn't working! It was pretty cold in the house, and after checking to see if her thermostat had batteries (nope), as well as checking outside for blockage at her vents (all clear), I called in the experts! Arrow Plumbing & Heating were there within the hour, and had the furnace up and running shortly after!
With the temperature set to drop tonight, I'm very thankful this was caught before it caused serious damage!
