Saskatoon people! We get a LOT of requests for referrals from clients who have moved to Saskatoon. Some amazing client’s of ours just had their daughter move there! She has 20 years experience and is taking in new clients. Saskatoon is a super competitive place for grooming, they have some really brilliant salons! So a talented groomer with open books is a rare find!! Especially right before Christmas rush. So reach out to her asap!

Everyone meet Sprite! The little dog who survived being shot TWICE and then left on his own?! And also sprayed by a skunk in between being shot and finding . So as soon as he has clearance from he met Shelly at ROA for a deep clean!
I’m always SO impressed by the way an animal can heal and grow and move forward in life. The first photo of Sprite looks literally NOTHING like his last photo. I couldn’t imagine going through all that pain and confusion and fear, but be ready to smile and love a few weeks after losing a shoulder and leg?!
I’ve always said that the luckiest thing I ever had happen in life was stumbling across dog grooming 17 years ago. Dogs have taught me resilience and humility, forgiveness and joy. They give love and warmth so freely and easily! Sprite still has a LONG way to go for his recovery, but he’s making huge strides and will make the absolute BEST friend to someone very lucky soon!!
Sprite is one of three with major health and rehab bills right now, if you’d like to help out at all Bright Eyes is always so grateful for anything. Nothing is too small and 100% goes to their care! I know some clients who came to us from Shaggy were once clients of Caitlin’s, this is just to let those of you know that she is working at Spot's Place YQR and taking clients as well! I don’t want anyone to feel as though they have to keep the appointments they’re made, especially if you know Cait and might feel more comfortable with her! We know she’s amazing as well!

Sidney will no longer be working at ROA, we are unsure of her future plans, she may reach out to clients on her own as well. Shelly will slowly reach out to all her booked clients to rebook as soon as possible, if you’d like to get in touch please send a private message to the salon, I will set you up with a new groomer in no time! Ruby came in for her first visit on the weekend. She’s had some bumps in the road throughout her search for a groomer. It’s important to take the time to really listen to the dog, Ruby isn’t the same as the other clients we saw, nor are they the same as her! Each one has their own comfort levels and their own personal limits.
Knowing how to speak to the dog and understanding how to create a positive experience for them is our job. They might not always leave with perfect grooms, but I hope they leave feeling a little better and a little more confident.
We might not always be the best fit for your family either and if it seems like your little best friend isn’t making progress we will always help you find the groomer who suits their needs better, even if it isn’t in our salon!
Ruby was easy to tackle in the end, figured out quickly that she LOVES being told she’s a good girl and responds quickly and positively to her name. She’s clearly called a good girl and a pretty girl a LOT at home because it instantly calmed her. Positive reinforcement with home grooming and training is also incredibly important in their socialization. Ruby’s family have been helping to set her up for success, even though she had a couple bad experiences, she was willing to trust a gentle voice because they’ve given her the confidence to try and try again! ♥️

December is nearly full, if you’re going to want a groom before Christmas please book now.
I DO NOT require or expect the groomers to work any extra hours or days during the holiday season. We have spent too many years working for companies who claim it is “blackout” season and don’t allow their staff to take any personal time during the month of December. It is unethical and uncaring. We want to be able to be home and healthy and happy for Christmas, the same as you and your family.
So book for December now. We will be totally full within the next couple weeks and then will be booking in to the new year.
As per usual the salon will be closed early on Xmas Eve until the new year.
Weekends are FULL until the new year.
We will have cancelation lists and we do regularly call clients, but will NOT put a client on the list if they haven’t booked an appointment. Priority will always go to clients with pre-booked appointments any time of the year, but the lists are so long in December that we will only save space for booked clients.
