Episode 9: The Mud Bath 🛁 • • New service added to our spaw menu🚨 • Ever wonder why your dog rolls in mud during shedding season? If your dog sheds like a mother fluffer, this one’s for you. • Most effective on shorter coats, this new treatment will leave your house, clothes & car mostly hair free. As an added bonus the mud isn’t just known for the reduced hair but for moisturizing the skin & to remove dandruff. Applying mud to your dog provides more advantages than using standard shampoo. An update on our groomer Janelle 🤍 • • At the beginning of September Janelle was called in for an emergency back surgery. The surgery was a huge success and her recovery so far is going well. We would to thank all of her clients for being understanding of the last minute rescheduling of grooming appointments. We look forward to having her back in the New Year 🛁🐶

Episode 8: Tip Tuesday Let’s talk ear cleaning!👂🏽👂🏽 • • Included in every full groom your pet will receive an ear wash. What’s our secret to vet approved ears? The best and safest option is to use a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and tap water. • • Commercial ear cleaners have several properties built in to help reduce debris and moisture in the ears, and are safe when directed by your veterinarian. • • Try this DIY to help resolve ear infections or as a regular cleaner.

Episode 6: Do It Yourself Paw Trim ✂️ • • Our clients have called them grinch feet, muklucks, hairy toes, cray cray feet and feet feathers. Whatever you may choose to call your dog’s paws, let us show you how to do a little maintenance at home. • • 1️⃣- Make it a positive experience 2️⃣- Prep the paw by trimming the nails and shaving the pads out 3️⃣- Gently grab your dogs paw & brush the opposite way the hair grows. Start cutting that excess hair between the toes but don’t go too short. 4️⃣- You are left with a natural looking paw Want to leave it to the professionals? OTL offers a walk-in nail trim & paw shave Monday to Friday 8am - 3pm🤍

Episode 5: How early should you introduce grooming to a puppy? 💈✂️ • • Unlike most grooming facilities, we require all 3 sets of shots for a puppy. This will eliminate any chance of your puppy catching something at a young age. After those shots are completed, the earlier the better. The sooner you start handling them; the better behaved they’ll be later on. • • A slow introduction is what we believe makes the best clients! Episode 3: February is Dental Month 🦷 Maintenance of your pets teeth is very important. In order to keep a healthy set of teeth we recommend brushing or a gel at least 2 times a week. This aids in removing any plaque or debris. Those owners who bring their pets tooth brush to their grooming appointments, you have a special place in our hearts. 🧡 🥕🥕🥕🥕 Some vets have mentioned trying frozen carrots, they won’t damage teeth like certain bones or chews but still manage to clean teeth.

Episode 2: The At Home Bath 🛁 If we’re being honest, most groomers cringe at the idea of you bathing your pet at home. Only for the simple fact being a lot of animals need to be COMPLETELY dry in order to prevent future matting on certain breeds. Those longer haired breeds (doodles especially) need to be dried and brushed right away or else a lot of clients return matted sometimes pelted to the skin. ✨ Be sure to check out OTL’s Dirty Dukes shampoo line to use the correct product for your animals coat type!
