Lexie and Mawka (pronounced Maklwah - I am trying!) are absolutely adorable. Lexie wasn't sure about me at first, but by the end of the session, we were best buds. We are working on pack dynamics and effective routines to reduce tension in "hot spots". See you next time!!

I just learned that Karen Pryor passed away yesterday. I needed to take a break from my work and recognize Karen. Her work on animal behavioural psychology and impact on animal behaviour training is unmatched. It literally changed how we understand and communicate with animals. Not just dogs, but dolphins, horses and beyond.

No reputable dog trainer today can ignore her legacy. Her book Don’t Shoot the Dog! and her methods laid the foundation for modern, science-based training.

I had a chance to attend one of her seminars back in 2008 while I was a grad assistant at LMU but couldn’t make it. Even so, her teachings have shaped so much of what I do.

Rest easy, Karen. Your work lives on.

I had the pleasure to meet these sweethearts today. We are working on pack dynamics and over the next few weeks we’ll do some focus work to reduce axiety and improve leash walking skills. Thank you for having me over!

Did you know I offer the most comprehensive (and affordable! ) private puppy training in Regina?🦮🐾🤫

This is Benji and we just met last night. He’s already doing amazing. We’re tailoring the training for working on recall, leaving things, and loving his bed—all done in the comfort of his home!

I’m so grateful to work with these amazing humans and their dogs—Melvin, Marcy, and Betty. While Betty (who is intact) and Marcy generally tolerate each other and even engage in safe play when humans aren’t around, the dynamics shift in our presence.

This photo was taken shortly after a mild scuffle between the two females, sparked by attention. You can spot Betty in the background showing displacement behaviours—a sign of the tension.

This type of challenge goes beyond traditional dog training and requires thoughtful behaviour modification. The (ehem 😜) missing link here isn’t about what we do in the moment but how and when to do it. A structured, predictable approach is essential to creating harmony and reducing conflict in the pack.

This sweet girl is Tessa. She’s a remarkable dog with a deep and loving bond with her mom. So, what are we working on together? Well, like many of us, Tessa sometimes finds the human world a little confusing. We’re creating a path to build her confidence. We’re teaching Tessa to let go of the unknown... that even when the world around her feels unpredictable, she doesn’t have to be.

So glad to be working with Mya’s parents. They’ve done a fantastic job at understanding her body language.
