Excalipurr Cat Café
Located in the heart of the city, Excalipurr is Regina’s purrveyor of fine specialty coffees and vegetarian fair – served with the finest of feline accompaniment. Cat cafés have two components — a café/restaurant in one area, and a cat salon in the other. Customers can stay on the cafe side, or take their beverages and food over to the other room to hang out with the kitties.

Excalipurr will offer Regina a new style of cafe with delicious food and excellent specialty drinks with the added experience of snuggling an adoptable cat. Excalipurr is honoured to partner with three Saskatchewan based rescues who will provide a bevy of adoptable cats that you can lie around with while you enjoy your latte. A small cover charge will help keep the cats in style. And if you’re smitten by one of our kittens, you can apply to make it official with your new familiar. All cats will be spayed or neutered, and will be up to date on vaccinations. Excalipurr Cat Café is located at 2156 Albert Street, a character building in the Cathedral area of Regina. Chelsey Legendre is a 32-year-old entrepreneur. She has many years experience working with kids and youth in various positions, and experience with women struggling with addiction and the homeless of Regina. Chelsey also has a management background in the coffee industry. She is an avid animal lover and mental health advocate. Giles Steel is Vice-Purresident (Feline Affairs). Giles busted into the back of Excalipurr the very night the lease was signed. He is skilled in survival, tax preparation and the manly art of love. Giles is seeking a more permanent arrangement once he sees Excalipurr launched. He can be reached through Regina Cat Rescue.

Peppermint Patty is now one of our longest residents. Surpassing the one year mark at the end of January. I don’t know why people can’t see her beauty and unique personality. It’s so hard watching some of these amazing kitties sit for so long with no interest.

We are desperately looking for a home for our sweet Sassy! Sassy is loving, affectionate, playful and all around a sweetheart but she isn’t enjoying the stress of all the other female cats in the room right now. We ultimately know she would be happier in her own space. She does get along with other cats, but maybe just one not 20. 😆 She’s also a cat wheel enthusiast.

We’d hate to see her go back into a foster home where she won’t get as much exposure, but ultimately want what’s best for her. So can you please share the heck out of this post in hopes that it finds the right person who can swoop in and take her to her forever home?!?

Did you know that we now take bookings online?!?!?

It was hard for me to switch from booking over the phone (I’m old school 😅) to online BUT I took the leap! Hopefully this will be more convenient for our customers, help with us losing money on no shows and bring in new customers!!!

It’s been extremely slow this week due to the weather! I get it, I wouldn’t leave the house if I didn’t have to either.

I don’t do custom orders anymore, BUT I had extra time so I whipped up a few things to try and offset these slow days.

I have 3 chocolate chip cookie cakes 8inch - $28 each

And four boxes of jumbo red velvet cookies with cream cheese chips and chocolate chips - 4 cookies each box for $12

Message if you would like to claim something, will only hold with payment. Pickup would be tomorrow 1-7pm!!!

Our sweet Spikey has become so vocal in the last two weeks, we aren’t sure why but we are thinking she’s missing her friends that got adopted 😢 So next time your at the cafe maybe give Spikey a little extra attention! Spikey has been with us for almost a year and she so deserves her own home. She would be happy to have a friend to play and snuggle with and bonus if you have a wheel she can run on.

It’s Skippers Birthday!!!! Happy 3rd Birthday buddy! He got a special supper that I am sure Peppermint Patty shared with him 🤣

I’ll keep posting these boys until they get adopted!! Salem was loving the attention and I even had him partially on my lap so I went for the kiss and he wasn’t too impressed. Haha. But he immediately came back for more loving! Sebastian spent most of his day passed out by the heater 💤

After a couple much needed days off to rest I figured you must be missing these cute faces!!! Billy Rae is still looking for her forever home. DOG parents, this girl needs a dog friend. She actually likes dogs way more than cats. Haha. So if you are looking for a friend for your dog, come meet this girl asap!

Well that’s it, Meru helped Elf tuck in for the night and he will be returning to the North Pole when Santa comes tonight. Thanks for all the shenanigans this Christmas little elf!
