You are always so knowledgeable and present us with great information.
This information provides us with another way to get to know our horse’s strengths and weaknesses. I will be implementing the series of exercises provided so that we have happy & balanced horses here.

Thank you to Laura Burtt from LAB Equestrian for travelling to Sorbie Stables for this amazing clinic. I’ve always been confused about choosing a proper bit my horses. In this clinic we learned the physics, engineering, horse anatomy and equestrian knowledge that goes into making and fitting bits for your horses mouth. It’s unreal!
I strongly believe my horses are angels for putting up with me! 😂
I had only one horse bit ALMOST correctly chosen out of three horses. We could immediately see the difference in my other two. Everything changed instantly- the way they carried themselves, they way they held their mouths, the position of their neck and head and the relaxation in their faces as they were no longer clenching the bit.
Fitting my horses for bits was a great educational experience but also the smartest choice I’ve made for my three horses!
Laura talked me through every aspect of the fitting. That included her professional expertise on the bridle as well. My goal has always been healthy, happy horses first and I’m so happy to have found Laura to help me.
I would strongly recommend having Laura fit your horses for bits!
100% worth it!

🤓Train Smarter Workshop:

Most people shy away from biomechanics because the subject is most of the time presented in a way that is too heavy and bold. Although, by pinpointing certain elements of the moving habits, it can become easy to use and can help your horse achieve a greater level of straightness.

It will be my pleasure to break this heavy topic into digestible steps so that anyone looking for improvement can achieve it.💪

The workshop will start with a 2hrs theory where we will see the main key idea when it comes to pinpointing how one horse moves comparatively to another. How to take these pieces of information and use them to create a tailor-made workout session for your horse. After the lunch break, the afternoon will be about seeing the process of assessing horses and selecting specific exercises that would help each one according to their natural pattern of moving habits.

👉Participants need to reserve their spots in advance, No walk-ins.
**You do not need a horse to participate but if you would like to bring a horse to have his assessment done on that day, we will have a few openings available to do so (Extra fees apply).

The Workshop will be hosted On September 16 at Sorbie Stable (Rexton NB)
from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Sorbie Stables will be hosting a clinic August 19, 2023 with bit & bridle fitter Laura Burtt.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Laura at the Equine Review and it was fascinating. She is one of 2 certified Lantra Neue Schule Bit and Bridle Fitter in all of Canada! We are lucky to have her on the East coast!
This informative clinic will be 3 hours in length and cover horse oral anatomy and how it relates to the bit and bridle.
Good fit of bit & bridle is essential to horse health and happiness.
At least 3 horses will be fit for bit and bridle after the clinic and Opportunities to have your horses fit exists as well.

Thank you Jessica of Tomorrow Equine for spending the day with us for your Understanding Horses Clinic.
We were presented Theory and then observed our herds for traits we discussed. We worked horses through obstacles while examining their individual horse personalities. We practiced overall horsemanship and were able to interact with all 5 horses here. It made for a full, interactive and fun day.
It was a great way to spend a rainy day!
