Friends and neighbours! Please keep an eye out for this missing (Stittsville-area) kitty. She was last seen July 22nd, in Stittsville around Poplarwood/Flewellyn. *Unsure if heartworm prevention is right for your dog? Heartworm is a parasite that can be transmitted by mosquitos to your dog. The parasite will migrate through the blood stream to the heart, ultimately causing extensive, if not fatal, damage. Although it's a low risk disease in this region, it carries a multitude of challenges that still makes it recommended for all dogs spending any time outdoors. If you have questions about the disease or whether it is right for your pet, feel free to reach out.

The holiday season is upon us and with it comes some much needed time off for the clinic. ❄
We wanted to give everyone some extra time to replenish any food/medications prior to our break. 🐾
This year, there are a couple of extra days off, which is a little unique from previous years. We hope to give our staff (including one, very over stretched and exhausted DVM) a chance to fully relax, recuperate and recharge after what has been a very tumultuous few years of covid woes, short-staffing, and general increased busy-ness.
We very much appreciate your understanding, and realize this may create a little extra worry for our valued clients as we're closed for an extended period. But, between our 3 x 24-hour care facilities in the city, and the addition of SmartVet (a telemed Veterinary service), we are confident your animals will be in good hands while we're closed.
