ONE OF FIRST TO GET DEXX inVue Dx™ Cellular Analyzer - AMAZING!

RAPS Animal Hospital continues to innovate! The IDEXX inVue Dx™ Cellular Analyzer is cutting-edge technology that helps us deliver faster, more accurate diagnoses for your pet. With just a small blood sample, we can analyze your pet’s cells in-house—often within minutes—so you get answers without delay. This means quicker treatment decisions, less waiting, and fewer referrals to outside labs. The analyzer enhances our ability to detect conditions like infections, inflammation, and cancer earlier and with greater precision. By investing in this advanced tool, we're offering your pet the same level of diagnostic care you'd expect in human medicine—right here in our hospital. 🐕 🐈‍⬛

✨ Meet the wave-makers behind the scenes! ✨

RAPS is powered by nearly 350 volunteers who lend their time, hearts, and helping hands across:

🏪 RAPS Thrift Stores

🏥 RAPS Animal Hospital

🐾 Cat Sanctuary

🏡 Foster Homes

🏠 Cat Adoption Centre

They comfort, care, clean, cuddle, and so much more—all to help animals in need find safety and love. 💖

Without them, none of this would be possible.

Let’s give it up for our amazing volunteers! 👏👏👏

Meet Carol, a 5-year-old Formosan Mountain dog, fostered by our very own, Dr. Schwartz. A year ago, she dragged herself in with a belly full of drama (a.k.a. lymphangiectasia), and today she’s thriving, fabulous, and basically running the show. The RAPS crew lovingly calls her the HR Manager – Carol is always keeping an eye on things. Carol is living the fabulous life she deserves.

Lymphangiectasia in dogs is a condition where the lymphatic vessels in the intestines become dilated, leading to the loss of proteins and fats into the intestinal tract. This protein-losing enteropathy (PLE) can cause weight loss, diarrhea, and other symptoms. The condition can be congenital or acquired, and while there's no cure, management focuses on maximizing nutrient absorption through dietary changes and potentially medication.

Sweet Crumpet was found as a stray kitten and brought to the RAPS Cat Sanctuary & Adoption Centre at the beginning of November by a Good Samaritan.

He has Cerebellar Hypoplasia - sometimes called wobbly cat syndrome - where the cerebellum, responsible for coordination and balance, does not fully develop.

Kailyn, Hospital veterinary assistant, has been fostering Crumpet since he arrived into our care. He was in for a check for his upper respiratory virus ❤️

Sweet Summit was rescued by our trapping team at RAPS Cat Sanctuary and unexpectedly went into labor. Sadly, one of her kittens was in breach position and was not able to be revived at the Hospital. An emergency C-section was performed and a second kitten was born. So far, mama and baby are doing well in home foster care ❤️
