Welcome to Jock River Alpaca & Llama Farm! Located in the village of Richmond, Ontario about 30 minutes west of Ottawa, Ontario. Thank you for visiting!

Located about 30 minutes west of Ottawa, Ontario, in the small village of Richmond. We have over 80 alpacas and llamas, donkeys, goats and geese. Please 'Like' our page and stay tuned for more updates from the farm.

We're at the Richmond fair this weekend with a few of the critters. We're set up in the Agriculture barn. Alpacas, llamas and chickens.

After our usual farm calls for shearing we managed to shear 2 out of the 5 new rescue llamas. The last 3 realized the gate was left open for 2 seconds and took off into the pasture. Each one had over 30lbs of matted fleece. Time to get some weight on them. We sheared our main herd (45 alpacas/llamas) on May 2nd but left these girls till later so they didn't get too much of a shock from the cold.

In response to the Covid-19 and our 2020 shearing season, we'll be making a few changes to ensure the safety of everyone involved. We ask that you keep helpers to a minimum (just someone to collect the fleece, give any shots, etc), consider paying with E-transfer (we still accept cash though), and practice physical distancing. We are still on schedule.
In regards to the llama walks, we've cancelled/postponed them till further notice. Stay safe!

Ill be starting the booking process for shearing 2020 in the very near future. If you require shearing (alpacas and llamas) please get in touch. We'll be going as far east as Montreal (2 trips for sure), as far west Bancroft (1 trip for sure), as far south as Kingston and as far North as Pembroke area.
