Below is a video of a parasite egg from a fecal sample that has "hatched" and is now a larvae. From here they will either become a nymph or an adult depending on which parasite it is.
How can your animal get parasites?
Some organisms enter an animal when it swallows contaminated food or water and others can burrow through the skin.
How do you find parasites?
For large and small animals, in order to find what parasite is disturbing your animal, we would have to perform a fecal float. Sometimes we have to send the sample to a lab as they have more equipment to determine which parasite exactly,
How do you know your pet has parasites?
Symptoms for dogs and cats but are not limited to:
Scooting bum on floor, licking bum, distended belly, loose stool, physically see worms coming out of their bum or in their poop. To the worse extent, refusal to eat and lethargic.
Symptoms for large animals, but are not limited to:
Diarrhea, not eating, lethargic, weight loss and poor hair coat.

Here is a great tip on antifreeze! It is toxic to pets but they attracted to the sweet taste. Make sure it is stored safely so they cannot access it!
Call the clinic if you suspect your pet has ingested antifreeze.
