🐶 Meet Buggy the French bulldog, who recently stopped by MVUC for a small procedure. She came in with a lump that needed to be removed, and Dr. Clark was able to quickly sedate her and perform the surgery with ease. Buggy is now on the road to recovery, and we’re hopeful that she heals up smoothly. We’ll be seeing her again in two weeks to remove her sutures. Wishing Buggy a speedy recovery and looking forward to her next visit! ❤️

🎄🐾 The holidays are almost here, and while we’re excited to celebrate, it’s important to remember our pets’ safety as well! With all the delicious treats, decorations, and festive celebrations, there are plenty of things that can be harmful to our furry friends — from chocolate and certain holiday plants (like poinsettias) to tinsel, medications, and more. 🐾🎅

Medications — both prescription and over-the-counter — can be especially dangerous for pets, even in small amounts. Be sure to keep all medications securely out of their reach!

If you suspect your pet has ingested something toxic, don’t wait — time is crucial. Call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 for guidance, or contact your local veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital right away. Be ready to provide as much information as possible: what your pet ate, how much, and when. The quicker you act, the better!

Important Note: We do not recommend giving your pet hydrogen peroxide or attempting to induce vomiting unless specifically instructed by a veterinarian. Ingestion of some substances can be more harmful if vomiting is not done correctly.

Let’s make sure this holiday season is safe and joyful for both you and your pets! 🎁🐶🐱

✨🎄 Christmas Cheer with Our Amazing Team! 🎄✨

This year, Lindsey our current marketing director had the pleasure of organizing our TikTok viral Christmas box photo collage, and we couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out! It’s amazing to see how much joy it’s spreading. While we’re missing a few of our incredible teammates—the PEI crew and some of the Fredericton girls—you were all in our hearts as we celebrated together.

Our staff event was an absolute blast, filled with laughter, holiday spirit, and the joy of being part of such an incredible team. We are all so lucky to work alongside such compassionate, talented individuals who make a difference every day.

❄️🎄 Amanda and Lindsey braved the cold and took part in the Ruff AF Christmas Bazaar over at the Ruff Athletics Facility this past Sunday! Despite the chilly weather, it was a great time, and Hunter was thrilled to stop by for some treats. It was a great turn out and we can’t wait to see you all again next year! 🐾🎅

We have vendors from New Brunswick small businesses, as well as a dog community garage sale.

🌟 Gracie’s Journey: A Heartfelt Thank You 🌟

Meet Gracie, the sweet Goldendoodle who recently underwent a splenectomy after being diagnosed with a splenic mass. Her loving dad was incredibly grateful for the care and attention she received throughout the process, and as a token of his appreciation, he brought in some delicious goodies for our team🐾🍪

A big thank you to Dr. Duguay, Katie, Kaylie, Lindsey, and Amanda for their dedicated efforts in Gracie’s surgery and recovery. Your compassion and expertise made all the difference, and we’re so grateful to have such a wonderful team caring for Gracie!

Of course, we’re adding our cards to the Gratitude Shelf to celebrate his kindness and express our thanks for trusting us with Gracie’s care.

We’re hopeful that Gracie will make a full recovery and be back to her happy, playful self soon! 💕🐶
