We are very thankful for Rick and his wife Angela for their generous donations to Marmalade this year. Today Rick brought us a fantastic outdoor cat house for the stray cats in our community. This new shelter will provide a safe space for the kitties protecting them from harsh weather conditions. Their kindness makes a big difference in the lives of these animals. We appreciate their support and commitment to helping our furry friends!

WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP - HOARDING CASE - SICK CATS & KITTENS!

We are desperately in need of a miracle, and we are reaching out with a plea for assistance from the community to save the lives of a group of 30+ cats who have been living in hoarding conditions, many of the cats are very ill and are urgently in need of extensive care to save their lives.
Faced with being sent to animal services, these cats with above average needs as well as contagious illness, come with hefty price tags, which often means they are put to sleep rather than treated and helped to recover and we are desperate for help save these little lives!

DONATIONS ARE URGENTLY NEEDED FOR HOSPITAL CARE, SURGICAL CARE and SUPPORT!

We are already working to secure cats and kittens and are getting them to vet clinics for urgent care needs to be met - we are dealing with severe upper respiratory illness in a number of cats, with infected and damaged eyes, dehydration, malnutrition, and a host of parasite infestations, none of the cats are spayed/neutered so there are pregnant females and nursing families in need, and we desperately need the help and support of the community to be able to help these poor souls.
We have already admitted 1 young female for emergency spay after being diagnosed with pyometra infection, and one approx. 3 month old kitten is in hospital fighting for his life with a terrible lung infection, and others are still being examined and assessed for urgency of needs currently.

Cold Weather Reminder 🐈 ⚠️ ❄️

During colder temperatures, stray cats may crawl up under your car hood or wheel wells for warmth.

We are already hearing cases of cats in car engines so we wanted to remind you to do the following:

🐾 Keep your cats indoors 🏡

🐾 Bang on your car hood before getting in and starting the engine….listen👂🏻

🐾 Honk your horn….listen 👂🏻

🐾 Look for signs like paw prints and check under the car and wheel wells. 👀

Doing these steps only take a minute or two and it can save a cats life! 💛
