Please plan ahead, check level of medications and prescription diets regularly to make sure you are not running out and ensure you will have enough. Update to CDC's dog importation rule.

Voici une mise à jour concernant l’importation de chiens aux États-Unis.

Updates to CDC’s August 1 dog importation rule: If you are bringing a dog into the US from a dog rabies-free or low-risk country, you now only need to fill out the simple CDC Dog Import Form. Other forms are no longer needed. The requirements for dogs arriving from high-risk countries have not changed, and these dogs are still required to have additional documents. Please be advised of the new requirements the CDC has released to bring dogs to/back into the United States 🇺🇸 starting August 1st, 2024.

Veuillez prendre en note les nouveaux règlements du CDC visant les exigences d’importation et de voyage des chiens aux États-Unis 🇺🇸 . Ces changements entreront en vigueur le 1er août 2024.

Starting on August 1, all dogs entering the U.S. (including those that left the U.S. and are returning, and regardless of the country they are coming from) must be:
• healthy upon arrival
• at least 6 months of age
• microchipped
• accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form receipt and required vaccination and veterinary documents.

Additional requirements may apply depending on where the dog has been in the last 6 months and whether or not the dog was vaccinated in the United States.
