Releasing stress points !!! (Acupressure)
Here is another video of a horse experiencing the relief from the atlas adjustment. In this case, the horse in the video had a very severely misaligned atlas (as well as several other cervical).
The atlas is the first cervical vertebrae located directly behind the ears. When the atlas becomes misaligned it can impinge upon certain nerves causing an array of issues for your horse that will get in the way of him or her performing optimally.
These include:
🚫Limited Oxygen & Blood Flow To The Brain
🚫Headaches & Migraines
🚫Flighty Behaviour
🚫Irritable
🚫Crusty/Goopy Eyes
🚫Runny Nose
🚫Coughing
🚫Stiffness Turning Head
Thankfully, this can all be fixed with an adjustment! The horse in the video had a severely rotated atlas. Seconds before this video we adjusted the atlas. This horse is displaying actions that we look for every time we do this adjustment.
These include:
✅Softening Of The Eyes
✅Yawning
✅Licking
✅Chewing
(This can happen with all adjustments throughout the body)
The reason the horse acts this way is because:
✅Nerve Function Is Being Restored
✅Oxygen & Blood Flow Is Restored
✅Pain and Tension Is Relieved
All this relief the horse is feeling switches them from their sympathetic nervous system (which is used for fight or flight) to their parasympathetic nervous system (which is used for resting and digesting). This allows your horse to relax and allow the body to come out of survival mode to heal!
