#drumhorse This is a moment I never thought would happen! Thank you to Taylor Sebek for being persistent and supportive in the whole process and much love for Draxx who is so patient with me. I drive Draxx because I have issues with my legs which result in me not being able to get off the horse. It is amazing how you can let fear/anxiety control progress…but with the right people in your corner you can problem solve and achieve your wildest dreams! Never stop believing in yourself!!! ♥️♥️♥️There are no words that capture this moment for me…but this will be a memory I take with me for eternity.
It has been soooo bitterly cold and windy here lately. The girls were headed in for some snuggles when a tree broke. I’m always amazing at the beauty of how synchronized they can be. They still got their snuggles! ♥️
We absolutely love updates about our horses! Sweet Sparks (Black Orchid Firewalker) is no longer afraid of the yoga ball! Lol! Look at how well this hunk is maturing! Sired by Mac Guinnes and out of Black Orchid Trella…another quality foal from two of our favorite horses!! ♥️
I can’t explain how proud I am of Melissa and Draxx!! They have only practiced together a small number of times but they operate like a well oiled machine. I am happy to say that Melissa placed first by a mere 45 milliseconds! 😳 The competition was fierce and the other drivers (all under the age 16 ) drove so incredibly well!! I am extremely proud of each and every one of them!! Thank you to Kees & Annie Muilwijk and the Alberta Friesian Horse Association for providing such an amazing opportunity for our youth!!
My heart is full ♥️! Draxx gives me so much effort and tries to do exactly what Im asking…even when Im not always communicating my best. Melissa keeps me focussed and on track with such warmth and kindness…and Draxx loves her to bits! We have come so far…especially with the guidance from our driving community! Thank you to everyone. Draxx had 2 clear runs (first time ever) and only 1 penalty in the third. This placed us 3rd out of 10 teams!!! Eeek! There was amazing competitors who set the bar high and I adore each and every one of them! Thank you Kees & Annie Muilwijk for hosting and being so supportive of us all. Many thanks to my groom Melissa, my husband for always pushing me, my sister Darlene Vavrek Lasiuta for being my biggest cheerleader, Loekie Van Dobben Hoekstra for yhe training and tips to guide our improvement and my friend Candace and family for popping in to watch! Congratulations to all of the competitors!
