Apple spice muffins today, with dark chocolate chips added because Tomeh Gee insists that chocolate levels up every sweet treat 😍 I mean... he's not wrong. Also we've got potatoes, beans, zucchini, cucumbers, plums, and some funky lantern flowers 💐 open until 8pm tonight.
And in light of Mabon this week on the 22nd, we have prepared autumn solstice✨ɱåɡïç ɰåɳɖʂ✨ for your altars or little ones in your life.
If you do not already celebrate Mabon, it falls on the autumn equinox. This year it is Thursday September 22 at 6:03pm and marks one of just two points in the year when the sun illuminates the northern and southern hemispheres equally. It also marks the first official day of autumn.
Mabon has been celebrated in various forms and for thousands of years by the Pagan community as the second harvest feast of the season. In this very busy time of harvesting, hunting, and preserving for the colder months, the second harvest celebration allows a brief moment of respite to be grateful to mother earth for the abundance, connect with loved ones over food, and set intentions for the upcoming winter season. It also inspired what we now know to be Thanksgiving.
Some ways to celebrate Mabon is to write down some things you are grateful for receiving from nature 🌽🍄 light a candle🕯️and write down some intentions for the next season. Share a meal with friends, family, pets, or plants by candlelight.
