We want to thank the Saanich Fairgrounds for allowing Kaemac Services Inc to host the 1st Candy Cane Lane Winter Festival on December 14th 9:30 - 4:00 pm! Over 110 vendors, Live Music and Hot Apple Cider! There are still a few spots open!

THANK YOU to everyone who attended the 2024 Saanich Fair.
THANK YOU to all of our sponsors, and to all of our many volunteers who help each and every year, whom without, this could not happen.
Thank you to everyone who gave us great feedback ( good and bad) on the changes we made this year. Our hope is to make it better and more exciting every year.
The food vendors delivered on point, the Entertainment was outstanding, and how about those Cowgirl Drill Teams!!
Our furry and feathery friends were happy and I think they made you happy too.
The Kid Zone was a huge Hit, and we have plans to make it even better already in the works for 2025.
The ride lines were shorter and the patience was longer.
The talented people entering into the departments keep getting better too. Keep up the good work!
We are so excited to start planning for the next one and hope to see you there!

As we head into a very busy weekend with the Saanich Fair, here are a few reminders for getting around the community:

🚗 The north-bound lane on Wallace Dr (towards Saanichton) is open!

🚗 The south-bound lane on Wallace Dr (towards Brentwood Bay) from Stelly’s Cross Rd to Silverdale Pl is temporarily closed. While crews will pause for the weekend, the lane will remain closed.

🚶 The pathway along Wallace Dr (from West Saanich Rd to Stelly’s Secondary School) remains open, and Willow Way Trail is open for walking, riding, and rolling to the Fair.

🚌 There are two bus stops in front of the main entrance to the Fairgrounds! Check out the #75 and #81 routes to get in and out of the Fair. The BC Transit Umo app lets you pay your fare with your phone. See the schedule at BCTransit.com

Go slow, be safe and have a great weekend!

The 156th Saanich Fair takes place this weekend! Good luck to all the participants 🐄🐴🐷🐰🐓🦃

🚗 The Fair will have traffic control in place, but with the significant influx of vehicles please plan for traffic disruptions in the area.

Instead of battling traffic, consider hopping on a bus or a bike:

🚍 Did you know there are two bus stops in front of the main entrance to the Fairgrounds? Check out the #75 and #81 routes to get in and out! The BC Transit Umo app lets you pay your fare with your phone.

🚲 We'll follow up with a bike route that bypasses traffic and gets you directly to the Fair. The District and Capital Bike teamed up again this year for a free, safe bike valet so you don't need to worry about locking up! Find it just outside the gates, in between the two entrances.

Do you smell that? Well, that is the smell of farm animals of course!

Make sure while enjoying the fair, to take a wander through our favourite part of the whole weekend; the ANIMALS!
The Saanich Fair strives to showcase a great agricultural section for all to see. We love to helps spread information and wisdom while fair-goers can say hi to many different farm animals throughout the property.
From Poultry, Waterfowl, Rabbits and Cavy to our bigger guys like Dairy Cows, Beef Cows, Pigs, Horses, Donkeys, Goats, Sheep and Alpacas/Llamas!

We believe the Agricultural side of our fair is the most important part! So come down and chat with our convenors and farmers to learn lots more about your favourite farm animals

T-3 days until the 156th Saanich Fair!!! As you know, traffic is busy, parking is crazy and patience runs thin!

We have a new plan, a new volunteer team and we are asking our amazing community to be kind and considerate to these wonderful fun individuals who take time out of their schedules to help us ensure the success and safety of our fair! They are giving of their time for charity donations and will be working long hours in the sun! Give them a smile and a friendly nod while they help you enjoy the fair ! Thank you!

Come by the Saanich Ring to watch one of our many equine performing groups put on a great show!
We are fortunate enough to have the Manestream Vaulters return to demonstrate acrobatics on horseback. Once you enter the gates, be sure to grab an Itinerary to follow along with to make sure you don't miss anything.
The Manestream Vaulters draw great crowds so take a peek at your itinerary and be sure to come grab a seat early!

Do you like fast horses, loud music and extreme skill?

You do not want to miss our hometown equestrian drill team, the Vancouver Island Coastal Cowgirls this weekend at the fair!
Make note of their show times, and get a seat early as the bleachers fill up quickly!

Who is ready for our LAST performance weekend of the 2024 year! Come see us at the 2024 Saanich Fall Fair this labour day weekend. Our hometown fairgrounds is the best way to end our 2024!

Be sure to take a visit through the stalls to meet all the talented horses we get the privilege of riding

What better way to end the summer and kick off fall but with PUMPKINS!
Every year the Saanich Fair holds a GIANT PUMPKIN CONTEST! All summer these farmers spend many hours tending to their giant vegetables to harvest and put on display at our fair!

2021 - Ian Robinson 797lbs (HEAVIEST EVER AT THE SAANICH FAIR!!)

Take a wander down to the horse section while visiting the fair!
The Stellar Steppers is an equestrian drill team that put on a great show to music! This group of hard working ladies showcase their talent on horseback with a syncronized ride on their horses
Grab an itinerary when you enter the gates to make sure you know their ride times!

Consider riding your bike to the 2024 Saanich Fair!
This year while trying to reduce the amount of cars coming to the grounds, the District of Central Saanich has graciously sponsored a 300+ bike locker right at the front gate area under the trees. Fly pass the line of cars and pedal your way right to the front gate for a seamless entry!
