Over the weekend 4 of the 5 members of your Tantramar Veterinary Hospital team got to participate in the first animal caregivers wellness retreat put on by Lily's Place Animal Sanctuary. It was a great day filled with laughter, love, relaxation and animals.

Thank you, to everyone involved, for the fantastic experience! We look forward to it, hopefully, turning into a wonderful tradition in the future!

The Tantramar Veterinary Hospital will be closed on Monday, July 1st, 2024 for Canada Day. We will reopen Tuesday, July 2nd at 9am.

Do you have plans to travel to the US with your pets this year or in the future? If so, you will want to go through the information on the link below because starting August 1st, 2024 new regulations will be taking effect as the US moves towards being dog rabies free.

At this time, coming back into Canada will be the same but the CFIA is reviewing the changes and will provide further information and guidance as soon as possible.

The Tantramar Veterinary Hospital will be closed this Monday, May, 20th for Victoria Day. We will return to regular business hours this Tuesday the 22st at 9am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sage went missing from the Aulac/Point de Bute area Friday afternoon! He is an intact, small black kitten with a small white spot on his chest. He is an indoor only kitten so is probably quite scared.

A reminder for the dog owners of the former town of Sackville. We received our paper in the mail letting us know that the deadline is March 31st for this.

A reminder from the Tantramar page:
As March nears, a reminder for dog owners: the deadline to purchase dog tags is March 31st. Register your dogs to keep them and our community safe.

Fees until March 31st:

$20: Castrated male/spayed female
$20: Un-castrated male/un-spayed female up to 12 months (proof of age required)
$40: Un-castrated male/un-spayed female over 12 months (proof of age required)

After March 31st, tags will include an additional $20 fee. Don't forget—proof of rabies vaccination is required at purchase. Register now at Municipal Offices in Sackville to avoid extra charges!

Teddy has gotten loose in the Willow Street area in Amherst but was last seen heading towards the Fox Ranch Road/D'Orsay road area. Please keep an eye out for him and the green leash attached to him if you are in the area.

A small, tan colored Terrier/Yorkie is missing and was last seen in the Fox Ranch/ Dorsey rd area. He had a lime green leash on.

Baby....it's cold outside...and windy, and freezing rain...so we have made the decision to close early for the safety of our staff. We will close at 3pm, and back in the office January 2/2024 at 9am. Please stay safe yourselves, and Happy New Year!!

Wishing our dear clients, friends, colleagues, and of course, their pets, a Happy Christmas!! We were overwhelmed by the treats, cards and well wishes we have received, especially during this busy time of year. Every cookie, chocolate, card, and good thought sent our way is so appreciated.
