Wow - how are we in December?!! ☃🎄

Lakeside Niagara Vet Clinic will be closing December 24 at 12:00 pm for our annual Christmas vacation. We will re-open on January 2, 2025 at 8:30 am with normal business hours.

In order to ensure delivery of any needed medication and/or food prior to our holiday closure - we kindly as that you place all orders by December 19, 2024 at 12:00 pm. 🎅

The spookiest thing we’re seeing this October is black legged ticks! If you don’t have your prevention already for October/November please give us a call. Black legged ticks also known as deer ticks do carry diseases that can be transmitted to your pets and you! We are highly recommending year round flea/tick prevention in the Niagara region where the weather stays mild.

October is Farley Month!

The Farley Foundation assists families in need with their pets medical bills. Since they were established in 2002 they have disbursed more than 7 million dollars assisting almost 17 thousand pets in need.

We are hosting our third annual Farley Raffle to help support the foundation and raise funds for more pets and families in need.

We are excited to welcome Sierra, our newest RVT, to our Lakeside Niagara team! Sierra comes to us with over 8 years experience in small animal medicine, high volume spay/neuter program and emergency medicine.
Sierra's calm, friendly demeanor will put all your pets at ease! Sierra is looking forward to being a part of the Lakeside team and getting to know our clients and their pets! If you ask us, she has fit in so easily with our team and daily antics so far, that it feels like she's been here forever!
She is passionate about nursing care and surgery!
We are very excited that we now have someone to reach the top shelf when Dr. Andrew isn't here!! 😜

***Smart.Vet provides additional after hours service when we are not available. Your call will be triaged by a Registered Veterinary Technician. If the RVT determines that your pet needs an appointment with a veterinarian, a telemedicine appointment will be set up for you and the veterinarian will return your call. If it is determined that you need to have your pet seen at an emergency facility, the RVT and Smart.Vet will arrange this for you. SmartVet will call the emergency clinics in the area and arrange for your visit. This ensures that 24/7 care is always available for our clients, even if the emergency clinics are busy. You will no longer need to call around or travel to different emergency facilities in a time of stress—the arrangements will be made for you.***
