We got to meet Bepsi this week. This sweet pup was found up north with severe head trauma, likely from an animal attack. It's amazing that he survived but no one was prepared for what the neurologist found on his MRI...he's missing a significant portion of the right side of his brain! This causes him to circle to the right constantly, when he's in motion. His prognosis from the neurologist was not great and his rescuers reached out to us to see if there was anything we could do to help. We were blown away by his spirit and determination. He really is a happy and smart little guy. He completely surprised us when he made his way over to the cavalettis and figured out how to get across them in his own way without any prompting. Of course, we weren't recording him the first time when he did it pretty much perfectly! Bepsi's visit with us was free of charge as we weren't sure there was anything we could do for him (happily, we do have a plan) but you can imagine that he's racked up quite a vet bill. Meet Walter! A determined 6-year-old Dachshund, who came to us in November following spinal decompression surgery. Walter’s treatment plan includes laser therapy and therapeutic exercises to help him rebuild strength and minimize risks to the rest of his spine. In this video, Walter is walking on an uneven surface, an important part of his rehab. This exercise helps strengthen his muscles, improve proprioception, and retrain his gait—all key steps in his recovery journey. Meet Ginger, Our Final Star Senior! Ginger is a 7-year-old sweetheart and a long-time client at the Centre. She first joined us in May 2018 after being diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. With determination and support, Ginger graduated from our rehab program the following year, showing incredible progress. Since then, we’ve been by her side as she ages gracefully, providing ongoing care through laser therapy, manual therapy, massage, and a tailored therapeutic exercise program.
