Please be aware that in order for us to build a strong relationship with your dog and make the grooming process a more fun and positive experience, we require each pup to be on a proper grooming schedule that reflects their coat type and individual needs.

Word of mouth has always been our biggest and best advertisement, so anyone who has previously asked if we had availability for their friends or family please spread the word or give us a share 🫶🏻

A bitter sweet time as I start this next chapter of mom life, but super stoked to get back to pampering your fur babes! 🐾 ✨

For those wondering, the next few months might look a little different in terms of how we normally would have things booked. There may be times I’ll need to work the odd afternoon/evening until my little one has childcare in September, but I promise we won’t be skipping a beat with keeping everyone on their usual grooming schedules.

Anyone wishing to book or reschedule appointments, we will still kindly ask that for the month June you continue to call the salon until I’m fully settled back into work. Our July & August schedule will be open for bookings starting next week, so we’ll be in touch with anyone who has inquired and been added to our call list. If you have not previously spoken to Dakota about July/August bookings and would like to book, please give us a call or shoot us a quick message to be added to the list.

Hello friends!

The total solar eclipse is just around the corner, and just about everyone is ready to see the once in a lifetime event. We are seeing some mixed information about pet/wildlife safety.

Contrary to what some may read, the sun itself is not any more dangerous during the eclipse. The reason protective eye wear is recommended for humans (who wish to observe the eclipse) is because many of us will be staring directly at the sun that day, which is something we typically avoid.

For our pets, and outdoor wildlife, that day will be similar to any other day. Our pets don’t stare at the sun, so there is no need to keep them indoors on April 08 for any extended period of time. They may notice the change in temperature, but it is unlikely they will exhibit any unusual behaviour.

The eclipse can be more unsettling for birds. The dimming of the sky can mimic behaviour at dusk and during early storm formation, so some birds may demonstrate a wind-down behaviour and there may be less activity in the sky during the peak eclipse. Once the sky returns to normal, so does their behaviour.

Happy Thursday everyone ! 🐾

We’ve had many of you lovelies reach out to check in, so I figured I would share a little update🥹 Our little man is doing very well and growing into quite the little dog lover already (His fur brothers are so in love also!).

Missing all of you and your wonderful puppers so much, and look forward to reconnecting with you all when I’m ready to be back to work🤍 My plans are still to wean back into the salon late spring/early summer, but until then I will be soaking up all the time I have with our little bundle of joy.

Day 1 of 12 Days of Giving 🎁

Our dogs, cats, small animals and staff have made wishlists this year. We are kicking off our 12 Days of Giving with Cleatus! Cleatus is a TV star (see his Morning Live interview posted on Monday) and he is also the animal that has been adoptable the longest at the shelter. Of course, more than anything, Cleatus wants a home for the holidays but he also helped to create this list!

Please note: the safety of our adoptable dogs is of utmost importance so we have to request specific toys that are approved for them to play with. We hate to be picky but we want them to be able to safely play with toys at the shelter. Please see the photo of approved toys in the comment section! These are available at local pet stores, minor brothers and online (Amazon, etc.). If there is another type of toy you would like to donate, you can email a photo/name to [email protected] and they can let you know if it would be approved. Please note, it may take a day or two for a reply with approval.

My maternity leave starts now 🍼🧸🐾
Hard to believe we’re already here, but boy are we excited !!

I am so grateful my body has allowed me to work this far into my pregnancy so I could get as much puppy lovins in as possible before my time away 🥹

Please keep an eye on our social media accounts for my return date. Nothing set in stone as of yet, but I am hoping I will be able to start back slowly late spring/early summer 🤞🏻

Dakota and Sharla will be continuing our grooming services a few days a week while I’m off.

Please note that our social media accounts won’t be active while I’m away, so we will be asking our existing clients to contact the girls by our business landline ONLY at 905-685-6701 ☎️ and please kindly give them as much notice as you can for bookings or any changes needing to be made within our policies, as they will be quite busy ❤️

Thank you all so much for all the well wishes and extra love the last little while. We can’t wait for this next chapter to begin.
