🐾PAW MONTH RECAP🐾

Our PAW Month was a massive success! We wanted to extend a huge thank you to all of our amazing customers for their support and donations throughout the month of June. Our final donation total is $7,132.49 - exceeding our goal of $7,000!✨

We were able to adopt out many cats, kittens, and a dog during our adoption event with the . We still have Tonto (3 year old male tabby) looking for his forever home! 🐱

The raffles were also a huge success with over 60 prizes to be won! A big shout-out to all of our donors, we couldn’t have done this without you. We appreciate all of those who participated in our raffles, and we want to congratulate all the winners (who have been notified)🎁

We can’t thank everyone enough for the support and love that was shown during our June PAW Month. The and greatly appreciate all of the community support🐾

🛁Make bath time easy with Kong Licks🛁

Bailey is showing off his new favourite way to take a bath with the Kong Licks mat! He loves having a little treat while his mom is bathing him, and mom loves that he keeps still and calm in the tub!🫧

🐾 PAW’d Cast - Episode 3 🐾

On today’s episode of the Petvalu PAW’d Cast, Jonathan is joined by Ashley, the mother of the young girl who is getting her Autism Service Dog. She briefly explains what life was like for her daughter growing up, and how having a Service Dog will really benefit her in her everyday activities.

It’s a lengthy and expensive process to get an Autism Service Dog and Ashley touches on the cost of getting one, and how everyone at Autism Dog Services feels like one big family. She really appreciates the fact that the funds raised goes to help not only their daughter get her dog, but the whole Autism Dog Services group.

We truly appreciate all of your donations so far - we’ve raised over $6000! We are continuing to raise funds until and including June 30th.

❗️The First Ever Petvalu Pawdcast is here❗️

As you all know now, June is PAW Month for Petvalu. This year our stores Vansickle Petvalu, Lundy's Lane Petvalu, and Dunnville Petvalu are raising funds to help a young girl from Niagara Falls get an Autism Service Dog from Autism Dog Services.

We’ve partnered up with Jonathan Howe, local radio announcer and track announcer at Merrittville Speedway, to produce this extra special Petvalu Pawdcast! In today’s episode he is joined by Paul and Ingrid to share their family’s story with receiving an Autism Service Dog for their daughter who has now graduated from the Service Dog program. Watch to hear their amazing story on how their dog changed their daughter’s life. This is why we’re helping to raise funds for the young girl in Niagara Falls.

A huge thank you goes out to Jonathan for leading this interview and to Paul and Ingrid for sharing their story!

☀️PAW Event Recap☀️

Our PAW Event this past Saturday was a big success! With your support we raised over $1000 during the event. We can’t thank you all enough for your contributions. The young girl is now one step closer to getting her service dog from and the are very grateful for your donations as well🤍

We hope you enjoyed the yummy snacks from the bake sale (thank you to our staff and their families for donating baked goods).

Huge congratulations goes out to the winner of our Joker board - Deborah and Rick! They won a $150 value coupon pack🃏

The adoptions from Niagara SPCA are on their way with 1 dog (see dog in photo) and 5 kittens finding their furever homes this weekend.

The store still has 3 kittens and 3 cats available for adoption and patiently waiting to meet their new families! Keep an eye out on our social media tomorrow for an updated post of who is left.

Thank you again for making our PAW Event and PAW Month so successful. Don’t forget we are collecting donations until the end of the month with over 50 raffle prizes to be won!

According to her file, today is her 6th birthday!!🥳 Julie has been the sweetest cat ever since the day she arrived to Vansickle. She is very affectionate, loves to be get pets, and loves cuddles!🩷 For her 6th birthday, it would be Julie’s biggest birthday wish to find her new family who will take her to her furever home. She is a very curious and playful girl. She loves any person she meets, she doesn’t seem to mind dogs (that we’ve noticed), however we’ve been told by the shelter that Julie would prefer a home with no other cats🐾 We’ve loved having Julie here at Vansickle, however we would love even more for her to find a home.
