Back from the International Center in Toronto with MACHA & RAFALE!
Over three days of strong Regional and National-level competitions at the Aurora Kennel Club, we had such a great time with my friend France Flibotte and her Ridgback Duke. We also enjoyed wonderful meetings and reunions, eating Graham’s soups, shopping time with Joanna Suan after her first juging in Sweepstake and each funny debriefing dinners with France at the lobby’s restaurant of Hyatt Hotel.
I especially appreciated the new handling experience with Volt, Paule Blanchet’s stunning Alaskan Malamute, who won a « Select dog » as well as participating in the Royal Canin Breeders Cup team event with 4 adorable males!
Macha, who was at the end of France’s lead as France experienced her very first time handling a Siberian Husky, still managed to stand out twice by making the final cut— including at the National. Well done, ladies!
As for Rafale, with all his heart for each time in the ring, he earned a SELECT DOG 🏵️ under judge Andrew Burt from Australia. 🇦🇺
Despite results that were a bit below what I was hoping for, it was still a great overall experience that we will probably repeat next year.
