Recall
It may be a windy day, but it's a great opportunity to practice recall with everyone's favorite house hippo Layla!
When teaching recall, its so important to practice in many different settings! If your dog is just learning recall it can be beneficial to start in a low distraction environment and as they succeed and begin to build positive experience, you can move to gradually more exciting environments.
If you don't feel confident in your dog's recall, a long line attached to a harness can be a great, safe way to practice! Remember to "pay" your pup for every return then let them go back to exploring!

By allowing our dogs to sniff, we are awarding them the choice to fully explore and experience the world around them--at their pace, with no expectations. Not only does this provide an enriching and valuable sensory experience for your dog, it is shown to decrease stress levels and strengthen bonds!

Loose Leash Walking
Birdie wasnโt yanking her mom off her feet here, which is great, but she isnโt focused and is pulling ahead. After about 10 minutes of some leash pressure games she was walking nicely at her side and is checking in with her often!

Starting Wednesday, February 2nd at 6:30pm!
Puppy Class is for puppies aged 12 weeks to 5 months! We cover all of the puppy basics plus more in a Force Free, Positive Reinforcement based environment! Your puppy will also get some safe off leash play time!
Class is taught by CCPDT Certified Dog Trainer Cindy OโNeill and runs for 6 weeks. The cost is $110 plus tax.
