It may be a windy day, but it's a great opportunity to practice recall with everyone's favorite house hippo Layla! When teaching recall, its so important to practice in many different settings! If your dog is just learning recall it can be beneficial to start in a low distraction environment and as they succeed and begin to build positive experience, you can move to gradually more exciting environments. If you don't feel confident in your dog's recall, a long line attached to a harness can be a great, safe way to practice! Remember to "pay" your pup for every return then let them go back to exploring!

Sweet Shelby is enjoying a good sniff during her Doggie Adventure! When was the last time you took your best friend for a Sniffy walk? By allowing our dogs to sniff, we are awarding them the choice to fully explore and experience the world around them--at their pace, with no expectations. Not only does this provide an enriching and valuable sensory experience for your dog, it is shown to decrease stress levels and strengthen bonds! It's their walk, let them sniff! 🐾

Birdie wasn’t yanking her mom off her feet here, which is great, but she isn’t focused and is pulling ahead. After about 10 minutes of some leash pressure games she was walking nicely at her side and is checking in with her often! Please PM to schedule a session! ♥️🐶
