Lenni’s crew is all vaccinated and getting ready for their go home dates this week. Some kittens require longer care and time with the mom so it’s never a guaranteed thing until my awesome vet does her health check for heart murmurs, listens to their lungs, vaccinates them and weighs them. Body conditioning is extremely important with any kitten but especially with letting young Maine C***s leave their mom. While it’s a happy time for most, some have to be patient a little longer and it’s sad to disappoint families. Please know I always refer to the veterinarian and her knowledge as well as my feelings about how well the kitten is adjusting. You will get your baby once they are absolutely ready and trust me it is worth the wait. Thanks for reading and adjusting your own vet appointments as necessary.

It’s getting to be that time as we prepare for kitty go home dates! The 72 hour vet health check is mandatory. Please confirm your vet name and appt day/time. Then I will confirm pick up day and time so as to have time for everyone to come and go day of. MANDATORY reading of go home posts 1-5 is necessary at this time for all kitty parents. There is critical information that will make the transition home for your kitty much more comfortable. Now is the time to ask your questions please. Everyone will be receiving an email from Royal Canin this week about signing up for their at home delivery. They have good information and it’s not mandatory however your kitties have been fed this specialized diet and changing food needs to be done gradually to avoid stomach upset and diarrhea. The kittens are also eating Friskies wet food and prefer the pate and shredded. We are getting excited for vet visits and good reports!

Kittens were all dewormed today along with the adult cats. Busy time weighing babies as well but they enjoyed getting out of their pens and cuddling with the other litters.
