Important Notice to Our Clients:

As of September 18, 2024, we will be closed on Wednesdays.

We are transitioning to a 4 day work week to provide a better work/life balance for ourselves and our staff.

We will continue to see appointments on Monday mornings as well as Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons.

Surgeries will continue to be booked on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings.

Our emergencies will continue to be covered by Port City Emergency Veterinary Hospital as they have been since they opened.

Here are our new hours starting January.1st/24

Monday – 8:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday – 8:00am – 6:00pm
Wednesday – 8:00am – 5:00pm
Thursday – 8:00am – 6:00pm
Friday – 8:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday - Closed
Sunday - Closed

We will be closed on holidays as well, but will put up posts letting you know about these as they approach.

Any changes to this will be posted as we become aware of them. If you have an emergency when we are closed please call 635-4102 to get in contact with the vet on-call. Thank-you.

Update to No Show/Cancellation Policy

***IMPORTANT***

We have recently needed to update our cancellation policy due to an increase in the number of no shows/no calls for regular appointments and surgery appointments.

We have a full appointment schedule and when someone does not show up and has not called it takes away a slot where we could have seen another patient. This is especially true with surgery/procedure appointments.

Please call us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you wish to cancel or reschedule. When we call to confirm your appointment, if you know you aren't going to make it, please let us know. If we leave you a message to confirm and you can't make it, please call us back and let us know. That allows us a bit of time to fit in another patient in need or move a surgery up in our schedule.

We are implementing a two strikes policy on this issue. If you have a no show and have not called, you will be reminded of our policy when you call to make another appointment. If two no shows without notice are documented in our system you will be deactivated as a client. You will receive a letter and we will forward a copy of your pet's records to your new veterinarian once you acquire one.

Thank you for understanding. This policy is meant to benefit all of our patients and allow us to fit you in faster when needed.

Hey Everyone!

Nermal wanted to let you know that we’ll have a temporary change in our hours this week!

We will be open from 8AM-5PM Monday, July 17th through Friday, July 21st.

We will be back to regular hours next week.

If anyone is missing a bunny in the Sand Cove area we found one in our front yard and had the SPCA come and pick them up. Unsure if it was a boy or a girl they were fairly anxious. We did get some pictures incase anyone recognizes them. Please call the SPCA for more information or if they are your bunny.

Nermal decided we needed to do some dental work this morning! Can you see the problem? 🤔

He needed his teeth cleaned and assessed anyway so we went ahead and extracted the broken tooth as well as one other tooth that was developing a small but painful resorptive lesion.

Nermal is recovering well (see pics in the comments) and will be back to his normal, cute and snuggly self in no time.

Due to the poor weather that is forecasted, we are going to be closed for the rest of the day to allow staff to get home before the roads deteriorate.

If you have an emergency, please call us at 506-635-4102 to be connected to Port City Emergency Veterinary Hospital or call them directly at 506-658-8387. If you have a less urgent concern you may leave a message. Phone calls may not be returned until Tuesday when we reopen after Family Day.
