The AAHA now recommends leptospirosis vaccination as essential for most dogs, as cases common in New Brunswick. This bacterial infection, spread through contaminated water and wildlife, can cause serious illness in dogs and can infect humans as well. Vaccinating dogs annually provides effective protection and is especially crucial as the disease becomes more widespread. RVTs (Registered Veterinarian Technicians) are essential to the health and happiness of pets and the people who love them. They are the nurses of the pet world, and wear every hat possible.

Today is our beloved summer student’s last day. Claire’s work ethic, ambition, curiosity, and intelligence are hard to beat. Even though we will miss her dearly, we are so excited for her as she continues her journey towards UPEI’s DVM program 👩🏼‍⚕️🩺 🐾

?! If your dog plans on visiting the States, starting August 1st, new regulations through the CDC, means more planning for you. If you think you’ll ever travel to the U.S. with your pet, we recommend that you have your dog microchipped (we can help you by appointment). Here is a link to the upcoming changes.

Reminder to our clients to have your special orders in by this coming Tuesday! With Christmas around the corner, our supplier (and ourselves) will be closed for multiple days the following week. We wouldn't want your animals going hungry or without their medications during the Holidays.
