This week we are getting two for one with our newest Pet(s) of the Week, which is a weekly feature that highlights our beloved patients!

Today we’re featuring Lady & Gator (aka Big Guy), Lady is a Border Collie mix and Gator is a German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. They are 7 and 3!

Lady’s favourite toys are squeaky stuffed animals! She works aggressively to remove the squeaker as if to beat her previous time record and once removed never touches the toy again! Her personal best is under 3 minutes :) Her favourite place to sleep is behind the couch next to the heater or in a sunny spot.

Gator’s favourite toys are Wubba Kongs and soccer balls. In summer he's happy in his kiddie pool, in Winter he's happy in a snow pile! His Favourite Place to sleep is on the couch.

If their owner could buy them anything in the world, it would be a lifetime supply of freeze dried liver treats.

Their story: “We adopted Lady from a rescue in February 2020 and Gator was adopted in April 2022. Lady loves to be dry and warm in a sunny spot. Gator loves to be in water or out rolling in the cold snow. Lady has a very relaxed personality and is very laid back energy wise, Gator has to be on the go all the time! While they are opposites in many ways, they have bonded over their shared love for nature walks, going to the beach, taking drives in the car, going camping with their humans, barking at squirrels and sharing their favorite Liver treats!”

Please help us welcome our newest Pet of the Week, which is a weekly feature that highlights our beloved patients!

Today we’re featuring Missus, who is an orange domestic medium hair that is almost 6 years old!

Missus’ favourite toys are anything with feathers (however her favourite FORBIDDEN toy is any ziplock bag!!) Her favourite place to sleep is on her owner’s sofa chair or at the foot of their bed.

Here’s a fun story submitted by Missus’s owners! “Missus loves plastic bags. There was a period of time lasting several months where every morning we would wake up and the bag of bread would be in a random room. At night Missus would find the bread bag and drag it around the house happily holding it in her mouth while walking room to room. We started keeping the bread in a box after that!”

Please help us welcome our newest Pet of the Week, which is a weekly feature that highlights our beloved patients!

Today we’re featuring Doodle, who is a Lab + Beagle Mix that is 8 years old!

Doodle’s favourite toy is “spot” (in photos!), and her favourite place to sleep is on her bed near the window.

If Doodle’s owner could buy her anything, it would be all the possible treats and toys in the world!

A great story about Doodle is:

“One evening, after an office party, I came home, ready to unwind. Doodle, who was sitting next to my husband watching Netflix immediately perked up and came to me wagging her tail. She padded over to me with her ears raised, clearly eager to hear about my day.

I started giving her the details of the party , Doodle tilted her head, as if intrigued. I continued talking to her about my time at the party.

But then, Doodle suddenly stood up, her tail stiffening. She walked straight over to my husband, who was in the kitchen whipping up something to eat. With a dramatic flair, she sat down in front of him, stared him in the eyes, and let out an exaggerated woof.

She literally was saying “Did you know about this? She went to a party. Without me! And she didn’t even bring back pizza for me, she knows I love it a lot ! Not even a piece of cake!”

Doodle let out another woof, as if to clarify and make her thoughts clear to my husband . She then pointed dramatically toward me with her paw. She was clearly not happy with the whole party situation.

I shouted from the room to my husband stating that it seems that Doodle is upset about eating Pizza without her … my husband took out her favourite treat and gave it to her .. that seemed to calm her down .. she took her treat and happily wagged her tail and ran back to her bed and started relishing her treat.”

Please help us welcome our newest Pet of the Week, Pud! 🎉

Pud is an American shorthair cat who is now 15 years old!

Pud's favourite toy is her scratch pad with a ball that spins around, and her favourite place to sleep is on anything that has fallen on the floor, which is currently an umbrella... 😆

If Pud's owner could buy her anything in the world, it would be a lifetime supply of kitty treats and catnip!

One great story about Pud is she loves to play "blankie monster", where she will chase and playfully attack your hand under the blanket. So cute to watch!
