Izzy knows no strangers—she’s “aggressively friendly,” meaning she’ll jump into your arms and joyfully explore your face with her happy tongue. Izzy is a dog on springs, full of energy and love for everyone she meets.

Atlas is a sweet and shy young (5 months) chocolate and tan chihuahua, weighing just 5 pounds. He may be small in size, but he has a big heart that’s ready to find its forever home.
Atlas is wonderful with other dogs, but because of his petite stature, we recommend his furry friends be no larger than 40 pounds. Due to his nervousness around people, Atlas would thrive best in a quiet, patient home without young children. Hello Lovely Community local to St Thomas!
On Wednesday, ABCR accepted a surrender of four Chihuahuas: a bonded pair (mom and dad) and two puppies (one of each s*x) about 5-6 months old. They all look very similar - chocolate and tan.
Upon inspection, it seemed Mama dog might be expecting, and much to our surprise, she whelped two pups early this morning! Both mom and babies are doing very well and resting together today. We were not prepared for this but are happy to support her LAST LITTER EVER. All the Chihuahuas have sweet temperaments.
We now have some special needs with the arrival of the two new puppies. Mama dog needs a proper whelping box to safely house her babies. Does anyone have one or know someone who might have one we can borrow? It must be for tiny dogs.

Meet Domino! 🎉🐾
Domino is a medium to large mix breed with a little bit of everything, from heeler to Pomeranian - he’s a true mix with no dominating breed. He’s a charming pup who always tries to impress the older dogs, even if that means attempting to jump two steps like they do (he hasn’t quite mastered it yet, but he’s determined!).
This adorable pup does everything with puppy enthusiasm! Domino plays hard, naps hard, and eats with gusto—he’s truly an all-or-nothing kind of dog. He’s smart, very food-motivated for training, and loves a variety of toys to chew on.
Domino is great with other dogs and, when he gets a bit too energetic, the older dogs gently remind him of his boundaries. He’s doing wonderfully with house training and has an easy routine that’s simple to follow—he’s the easiest dog I’ve ever had to potty train!
He eats and sleeps in his crate and even sleeps through the night. Domino is truly a delightful addition to any home looking for an energetic, loving, and eager-to-learn companion.
