At his last visit, 10-year-old Snow reminded us all why we love what we do. Since starting Librela treatment, this sweet senior pup has made an incredible transformation. His mobility has improved so much that he’s now chasing—and even catching—wildlife in his backyard! 🦊🐿️

The best moment? Seeing Snow leap off the floor on all four paws in pure excitement during his visit! (Check out the picture—we couldn’t stop smiling!)

Helping pets like Snow live comfortably and joyfully in their golden years is why we’re here. We’re so proud of you, Snow, and can’t wait to see what adventures are next! 🐕✨

Our team is growing!!!

We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Olivia Coish to the Abbeydale Animal Hospital team. As a recent graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College, she now joins Dr. Storey and Dr. Guiler and our amazing and qualified team in providing veterinary care to our patients. She may be a familiar face to some of you who may have had the opportunity to meet her during one of her several summer student placements with us between 2018 and 2022.

Ever since she was a young girl, Dr. Coish has always wanted to work with and help animals 🐶🐱. During her spare time, Dr. Coish enjoys spending time with horses 🐎 and taking long walks, especially near water 🚶‍♀️and spending time with her feisty feline senior companion, Henry (pictured here).

Please join us in giving Dr. Coish a warm welcome to the team 🥰

With the warmer weather upon us, you may be thinking about taking your pet on a trip to the U.S. this summer. Please be aware of new rules in effect August 1st for pets who are crossing the border. Be sure to have met all the requirements well in advance to avoid travel delays.

Starting on August 1, all dogs entering the U.S. (including those that left the U.S. and are returning, and regardless of the country they are coming from) must be:
• healthy upon arrival
• at least 6 months of age
• microchipped
• accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form receipt and required vaccination and veterinary documents.

Additional requirements may apply depending on where the dog has been in the last 6 months and whether or not the dog was vaccinated in the United States.
