Do you have any old radios sitting around collecting dust?

🌟 Calling all animal lovers in our amazing community! 🌟

Our shelter has a special request – we’re on the lookout for any old radios you might have sitting around.

We use radios in our dog kennels and cat room to provide comfort and stimulation for our furry friends, especially during after-hours. Unfortunately, our radio in the cat room has broken, and we could really use a replacement to keep the vibe positive for our adorable kitties!

If you have a radio you'd be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful! Thank you for your support in making our shelter a happier place for our animals!

❥Vendors Wanted for the 2025 Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival!❥

•Saturday July 19th and Sunday July 20, 2025
•Outdoor event at Pinafore Park, St. Thomas
•We are looking for exhibitors of all types! You do not need to be in a pet-related business to be part of our event.
•Site: $150 ($75/day and you must attend both days)
•We require that you have vendor liability insurance, and you can get that just under $34 for the 2 days (more info on our website)
•Non-Profits and Kid-entrepreneurs are free (limited space)

🇨🇦 On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the First World War ceased hostilities. Today, we remember the dedicated men, women, and animals who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, and we honor those who continue to serve and protect our country. At 11:00 a.m. we observe two minutes of silence to honor the fallen and recognize the sacrifices of all who served. The first minute is to remember those who returned alive, and the second is to remember those who gave their lives. As we move forward may we honor their legacy by embodying the values they fought for in the lives we lead.🐕💜

Did you know? 🧐 Purple poppies honor all animals who have been victims of war. Among them, courageous canines served as messengers, medics, watchdogs, and bomb detectors, helping soldiers and saving countless lives. 🐕 This Remembrance Day, wear a purple poppy to remember the loyalty and sacrifice of these brave dogs who served alongside our troops. 🐾💜

🐾This season, we’re collecting empty cans and bottles from the liquor or beer store. Every bit helps us get closer to an amazing festival for our furry friends! 🐶🎉 The collection date is still to be determined, so please hold onto those containers and stay tuned for updates.
