Un immense merci à la formidable équipe de Rittal qui est venue nous donner un coup de main au refuge ! 💙 Leur visite a eu un réel impact : ils n’ont pas hésité à s’attaquer aux tâches les plus exigeantes, et leur énergie, leur bonne humeur et leur générosité ont fait chaud au cœur. En plus de donner de leur temps, ils ont aussi offert un don et payé la pizza et les breuvages pour tout le monde. Quelle belle attention ! Merci de tout cœur à toute l’équipe Rittal pour votre fidélité et votre précieux soutien envers nos animaux et notre mission. 🐾

CE CHAT EST AU REFUGE/ THIS CAT IS AT THE SHELTER

RAV-4 est un superbe jeune homme, en excellente santé et âgé d'environ 12 mois. Quel chat magnifique ! D'abord, son physique athlétique est agrémenté d'un pelage d'un noir très lustré et soyeux - avec quelques petits poils blancs au cou et ses grands yeux verts sont très expressifs et envoûtants. Mais il impressionne surtout par sa personnalité engageante et agréable !! Nous voulons trouver à RAV-4 le meilleur des foyers afin qu'il puisse s’épanouir auprès de ses humains et connaître l'amour !

Le pauvre minet a été trouvé errant et emmené au refuge à la fin-août. Les gens qui l'ont trouvé trouvait que RAV-4 était vraiment affable et gentil et donc, pensait qu’il devait y avoir une famille qui le cherchait...mais tristement non, le chéri poilu n’a jamais été réclamé.

RAV-4 a immédiatement démontré sa nature aimante envers les employés et les bénévoles dès le premier jour même en étant confiné à sa cage. Ce bel ange ténébreux est doux et malléable et aime beaucoup se faire caresser, flatter et bécoter. On peut le prendre dans nos bras quelques instants et il ronronne doucement quand on le cajole. Comme plusieurs autres chats, si surexcité ou quand on lui caresse le ventre, il peut vous lécher les doigts et ensuite vous mordiller pour jouer, en s'agrippant sur votre main mais il n'y a aucune malice dans ses gestes.

RAV-4 est agile et moyennement actif ; notre séduisante panthère de maison est aussi très curieux et adore explorer son entourage. Maintenant installé dans la salle commune avec une vingtaine d'autres chats, RAV-4 semble apprécier les hauteurs car on le voit souvent dormir dans un grand panier sur le haut d'une armoire ou en train d'analyser la situation dans un cubicule d'un arbre à chat. Dans sa nouvelle demeure, ce jeune félin aura besoin d’espace pour bouger, des jouets stimulants et idéalement un grand arbre à chat pour grimper et pour observer les oiseaux et vérifier tout ce qui se passe à l’extérieur ! Ce débonnaire noiraud est le "mix" parfait de chat à la fois mielleux mais aussi indépendant à ses heures.

L'affectueux et très attachant RAV-4 sera heureux avec des gens bienveillants et chaleureux qui vont interagir régulièrement avec lui. Étant donné que notre garçon possède un tempérament plutôt tolérant, le coquin pourrait vivre dans un foyer avec des grands enfants (10 ans et plus) respectueux des animaux. RAV-4 semble préférer la présence des personnes à celle des chats; en salle il interagit très peu avec ses colocataires. Ainsi, monsieur serait très satisfait d'être le seul animal de la maisonnée. Sinon, RAV-4 pourrait partager sa vie avec un autre chat amical et non-dominant mais prévoyez des introductions graduelles pour assurer le succès de leur cohabitation car on constate qu'il peut être un peu dominant lorsqu'il côtoie certains chats alors qu'avec d'autres, il est totalement serein et relax.

L’épatant RAV-4 n’attend que vous pour commencer sa nouvelle vie; le bellâtre fera un merveilleux compagnon apaisant, câlineur et loyal, qui sera à vos côtés pendant plusieurs années à venir. Laissez-vous charmer par ce chat extraordinaire !

RAV-4 is a stunning young gentleman, in excellent health and approximately 12 months old. What a magnificent cat! His athletic build is complemented by a sleek, glossy black coat with a few delicate white hairs at his neck, and his large green eyes are both expressive and captivating. But what truly makes him special is his engaging and delightful personality! We’re hoping to find RAV-4 the most loving home, where he can flourish alongside his humans and discover what it means to be cherished.

This poor kitty was found wandering and brought to the shelter at the end of August. The kind people who found him were struck by how friendly and gentle RAV-4 was, and assumed a family must be looking for him… but sadly, no one ever came forward to claim this furry darling.

From his very first day — even while confined to a cage — RAV-4 showed his affectionate nature to staff and volunteers. This handsome dark angel is gentle and easygoing, and he absolutely loves being petted, stroked, and kissed. You can hold him in your arms for a little while, and he’ll purr softly when cuddled. Like many cats, when he’s excited or when you rub his belly, he might lick your fingers and then playfully nibble them, gripping your hand — but there’s no malice in his gestures, just a desire to interact.

RAV-4 is agile and moderately active; our charming house panther is also very curious and loves to explore his surroundings. Now settled in the communal room with about twenty other cats, RAV-4 seems to enjoy high places — he’s often found napping in a large basket atop a cabinet or surveying the scene from a cubby in a cat tree. In his future home, this young feline will need space to move, stimulating toys, and ideally a tall cat tree to climb, watch birds, and keep an eye on the world outside! This mellow black beauty is the perfect blend of affectionate and independent.

Loving and endearing, RAV-4 will thrive with kind, warm-hearted people who will interact with him regularly. Given his fairly tolerant temperament, this sweet boy could live in a home with older children (10 and up) who understand and respect animals. RAV-4 seems to prefer human company over feline companionship; in the communal room, he interacts very little with his fellow roommates. He would be perfectly content as the only pet in the household. Alternatively, RAV-4 could share his life with another friendly, non-dominant cat — but gradual introductions will be key to a successful relationship, as he can show dominant behavior with some cats, while remaining completely cool & relaxed with others.

WALL-E a très fière allure avec son dense pelage blanc et gris, son joli nez rose et ses grands yeux verts remplis de tristesse et de résignation. Le beau Monsieur est un peu dodu mais en très bonne santé et est dégriffé aux quatre pattes; son âge a été estimé à environ 7 ans. Nous souhaitons trouver une nouvelle famille bienveillante à ce formidable minet.

WALL-E a tristement été abandonné au refuge le 1er septembre. Le bellâtre aurait été donné à une dame qui elle, l'a gardé seulement deux mois chez elle puisqu'il ne s'entendait pas avec son autre chat. À son arrivée, WALL-E était visiblement découragé et mécontent d'être enfermé dans une cage - on pouvait lire sur son noble visage une totale incompréhension de sa nouvelle situation - Pourquoi suis-je ici ?

Maintenant dans la salle commune ou cohabitate une vingtaine de chats attendant leur adoption, notre gentleman félin était bien content de retrouver une certaine liberté. Confiant et curieux, WALL-E s'est immédiatement mis à explorer tous les racoins de son nouvel environnement, se promenant la queue bien droite...mais à l'observer côtoyer ses congénères, nous avons constaté qu'il n'apprécie pas vraiment leur compagnie. WALL-E n'est pas agressif, ne se bagarre pas mais choisi de se percher en haut des arbres à chat pour éviter les contacts avec ses co-locataires. WALL-E est modérément actif et le gaillard aime bien faire de longues siestes à l'abri des regards.

Avec les gens, c'est autre chose...le suave WALL-E est de nature sociable et il est facile de l'approcher ou de le manipuler (même lors d'une première rencontre). Au fait, il adore se faire brosser, se faire flatter et caresser; vous pouvez le prendre dans vos bras mais il n'y reste pas très longtemps - le charmant garçon préfère se coucher près de vous, cherchant un peu de réconfort. WALL-E apprécie beaucoup votre présence et est affectueux mais il n'est pas un chat très démonstratif ou vocal. Cependant, ce gentil trésor se mettra à ronronner quand on le cajole et lui offre des succulentes gâteries ?

WALL-E s'épanouira dans un environnement chaleureux, calme et douillet. Ne connaissant presque rien de son passé, nous savons cependant qu'il préférerait être le seul animal de la maisonnée, comme ça, il sera le petit roi de son royaume et aura toute l'attention pour lui. Compte tenu de son tempérament contemplatif et posé, un foyer sans jeunes enfants est recommandé. Sans être accaparant ou demandant, WALL-E sera plus heureux d'avoir une présence régulière à la maison pour lui tenir compagnie - il fera un compagnon parfait pour ceux en télé-travail ou à la retraite ?

Le séduisant WALL-E est vraiment très attachant et mérite d'être comblé d'amour et de bénéficier des meilleurs soins pour connaître un avenir idyllique ! Serez-vous là pour lui ??

WALL-E has a very distinguished look with his thick white and grey coat, his sweet pink nose, and those large green eyes filled with sorrow and resignation.
This handsome chap is a bit plump, but in very good health, and has been declawed on all four paws. His age is estimated to be around 7 years old. We’re hoping to find a kind and caring family for this wonderful kitty.

Sadly, WALL-E was abandoned at the shelter on September 1st. The dashing boy had been given to a woman who kept him for only two months, as he didn’t get along with her other cat. When he arrived, WALL-E was clearly discouraged and unhappy about being confined to a cage — his noble face expressed total confusion about his new reality: Why am I here?

Now living in the communal room with about twenty other cats waiting to be adopted, our feline gentleman was quite pleased to regain a bit of freedom. Confident and curious, WALL-E immediately began exploring every corner of his new surroundings, tail held high… but watching him interact with the other cats, it became clear that he doesn’t particularly enjoy their company. He’s not aggressive and doesn’t pick fights, but he prefers to perch atop the cat trees to avoid contact with his roommates. WALL-E is moderately active and enjoys long, peaceful naps tucked away from view.

With people, it’s a different story… the suave WALL-E is naturally sociable and easy to approach or handle — even on a first meeting. He absolutely loves being brushed, stroked, and gently petted. You can pick him up, though he won’t stay in your arms for long — this charming fellow prefers to lie down beside you, seeking comfort and closeness. WALL-E truly enjoys human presence and is affectionate, though he’s not overly demonstrative or vocal. That said, this precious treasure will start purring when you pamper him and offer him tasty treats ?

WALL-E will thrive in a warm, calm, and cozy environment. While we know very little about his past, it’s clear he would prefer to be the only animal in the household — that way, he can be the little king of his castle and receive all the love and attention he deserves. Given his contemplative and gentle nature, a home without young children would be ideal. He’s not demanding or clingy, but WALL-E would be happiest with someone who’s regularly at home to keep him company — he’d make a perfect companion for someone working remotely or enjoying retirement ?

This captivating cat is truly endearing and deserves to be showered with love and given the very best care to enjoy a blissful future. Will you be the one to give WALL-E his happy ending?

🐾 La Marche des 4 pattes – un immense merci ! 🐾

Le 7 septembre, nous avons vécu une édition 2025 inoubliable de la Marche des 4 pattes de la SPCA Montérégie ! Dans la bonne humeur, familles, amis et visiteurs se sont rassemblés, certains accompagnés de leurs chiens, d’autres venus simplement pour nous encourager. Ensemble, nous avons parcouru un trajet de 1 km de marche, puis profité d’un bel après-midi en plein air, animé par des kiosques, des jeux et concours, des tirages, de la musique et une démonstration d’agilité. 🙂

Un immense merci à celles et ceux qui ont contribué à faire de cette journée un succès : la grande communauté de la SPCA Montérégie (membres, donateurs, supporteurs, marraines et parrains), nos partenaires, nos bénévoles dévoués (près de 60, incluant plusieurs employés du refuge), ainsi que tous nos participants. Merci également à Rick Giovannini, notre maître de cérémonie, pour sa bonne humeur.

🐾 The Dog Walk – A Huge Thank You! 🐾

On September 7, we celebrated an unforgettable 2025 edition of the Dog Walk at the SPCA Montérégie! In great spirits, families, friends, and visitors gathered — some with their dogs, others simply there to cheer us on. Together, we walked a 1 km route and then enjoyed a wonderful afternoon outdoors with lively kiosks, games and contests, raffles, music, and an agility demonstration. 🙂

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make this day a success: the SPCA Montérégie community (members, donors, sponsors, and supporters), our partners, our dedicated volunteers (nearly 60, including several shelter staff), and all our participants. Special thanks also to Rick Giovannini, our master of ceremonies, for his enthusiasm.

💫💞💫Dans une famille à l'essai ! - On espère que cela va fonctionner ! /In a family -foster to adopt ! - hope it works out !💫💞💫

BENTLEY est un ravissant félin au superbe pelage luxuriant blanc et tabby ; il a eu 5 ans le 9 août 2025. Avec un aussi beau minois aux airs princiers, son adorable petit nez rose-bonbon et ses époustouflants yeux dorés au regard à la fois intriguant et triste, BENTLEY fait tourner les têtes !

Ce merveilleux garçon a malheureusement été abandonné au refuge à la mi-août; son ancienne famille l'avait adopté alors que BENTLEY n'était qu'un petit chaton...et a été dégriffé par la suite, malgré notre politique de ne pas faire dégriffer nos chats :(. Vivant dans un environnement avec des enfants très actifs, le pauvre BENTLEY est devenu de plus en plus stressé et angoissé avec le temps et s'est mis à uriner hors de sa litière.

L'examen du vétérinaire révèle que BENTLEY est en bonne santé; ses problèmes de pipis hors litière seraient donc causés par le stress mais nous recommandons toutefois de lui donner une nourriture spécialisée urinaire en prévention, au moins un certain temps, question de mettre toutes les chances de son côté pour une longue vie en grande forme !

Le minet ayant vécu de grands bouleversements était désemparé et désorienté à son arrivée. Très rapidement nous avons pu constaté combien affectueux BENTLEY est auprès des gens, même s'il est légèrement timide aux premiers abords. Une fois qu'il vous connaît un peu mieux, le bellâtre cherche à être réconforté, appréciant grandement la présence humaine. Notre gentilhomme poilu adore les câlins et les bisous ainsi que toute l'attention qu'il reçoit lorsque vous le prenez dans vos bras ou le brossez...et le charmant félin se mettra à ronronner quand vous le caressez et lui chuchotez des mots doux à ses oreilles.

BENTLEY a un tempérament discret et sensible; c'est un garçon plutôt contemplatif et dormeur qui appréciera la douceur, la paix et la sécurité d'un foyer tranquille et serein. Nous avons découvert que BENTLEY aime particulièrement se faire dorer sous les doux rayons de soleil. Encore curieux, il se passionne en regardant les oiseaux dans leur mangeoire. Lorsqu'on lui offre des gâteries de chats, son beau visage s'illumine de plaisir :) Son pelage a été négligé ces derniers mois alors BENTLEY aura besoin d'un bon toilettage et ensuite d'être brossé régulièrement pour entretenir son abondante fourrure.

Nous recherchons des adoptants calmes, bienveillants et attentionnés. Puisque BENTLEY a eu des difficultés à cohabiter avec des enfants et vivait comme seul animal de compagnie dans le passé, notre attachant chéri sera plus heureux dans un foyer sans enfant et comme seul animal, en autant qu'il n'est pas laissé tout seul trop longtemps, sinon il pourrait s'ennuyer. Dans ces conditions, l'aimable BENTLEY devrait pouvoir s'acclimater assez rapidement à sa nouvelle demeure et famille et utiliser sa litière régulièrement.

BENTLEY fera un parfait compagnon: gentil, pantouflard et facile à vivre; il mérite de retrouver une vie remplie d'amour et de bons soins. En retour, il vous sera des plus reconnaissant pour votre bonté à son égard et pourra enfin s'épanouir pleinement.

BENTLEY is a stunning feline with a luxurious white and tabby coat; he turned 5 years old on August 9, 2025. With his princely little face, sweet bubblegum-pink nose, and mesmerizing golden eyes that seem both curious and wistful, BENTLEY is a true head-turner!

This lovely boy was sadly surrendered to the shelter in mid-August. His previous family had adopted him as a tiny kitten… and later had him declawed, despite our policy against declawing cats :(. Living in a home with very energetic children, poor BENTLEY became increasingly anxious and overwhelmed over time, eventually leading him to urinate outside his litter box.

A veterinary exam confirmed that BENTLEY is in good health; his litter box issues appear to be stress-related. We do recommend feeding him a specialized urinary diet for a while as a preventative measure and to give him the best chance at a long, healthy life.

Having gone through major upheaval, this sweet boy was confused and disoriented upon arrival. But it didn’t take long for us to see just how affectionate BENTLEY is with people, even if he’s a little shy at first. Once he gets to know you, this handsome fellow seeks comfort and truly enjoys human companionship. Our furry gentleman adores cuddles and kisses, and he thrives on the attention he receives when you hold him or brush his coat… and this charming kitty will start purring when you stroke him gently and whisper sweet words in his ears.

BENTLEY has a quiet and sensitive nature; he’s a contemplative and sleepy boy who will flourish in a peaceful, gentle, and secure home. We’ve discovered that BENTLEY especially loves basking in warm sunbeams. Still curious, he delights in watching birds at the feeder. And when offered cat treats, his beautiful face lights up with joy :) His coat has been neglected in recent months, so BENTLEY will need a good grooming session and regular brushing to maintain his abundant fur.

We’re looking for calm, caring, and attentive adopters. Since BENTLEY struggled living with children and was the only pet in his previous home, our sweet darling will be happiest in a child-free household as the sole animal—provided he’s not left alone for long periods, as he may get lonely. In these conditions, lovable BENTLEY should adjust fairly quickly to his new home and family, and resume regular litter box habits.

BENTLEY will make a perfect companion: kind-hearted, laid-back, and easygoing. He deserves to rediscover a life filled with love and thoughtful care. In return, he’ll be deeply grateful for your kindness and will finally be able to fully blossom.
