We'll reveal the species later this week after we've had some guesses.

Even with being bitten during that show it is one of my (Curtis) favorite memories from the earlier days of Fraser Reptiles.

This is a great reminder that even the most docile and trustworthy animals can have a bad day.

Thank you to the Ste Genevieve 4-H Club for having me out this morning. It's always nice to share my passion locally and nothing is more local then my home towns club.

Sam (boa constrictor imperator ) didn't enjoy the trip though the swamp and decided to share his displeasure with a little "kiss".

Neat little fundraiser going on over at Boberta's Dragons Reptile Rescue.

We had so much fun with our "Feed Your Ex" Valentine"s Fundraiser last year, that we decided to do it again!

How it works:

You buy a feeder worm or rodent, and name it in honour of your Ex (or boss, neighbour, co-worker, or anyone else you feel is deserving), and we feed them to one of our critters on Valentine's Day! We will film the feeding, and post it to our socials for all to enjoy.

Worms are $5 each, and rodents are $10. If you would like to participate, please e-transfer to [email protected] by Thursday, February 13, including the follwing in the message space: Your name, name of person you are honouring, the type of critter, and your "love note". If you wish to remain annonymous, please let us know, otherwise, we will name you when we "feed your ex".

Example: One rat. To Adam, from Eve. Everyone told me you were a rat, and you proved it. I hope you enjoy "lunch".

Note: If you want to participate, but don't do e-Transfer, please PM us, and we can make arrangements for alternate payment.

Peek-a-boo I see you little house gecko.
What is super nice about the ZooMed Coco Nut house, is it's versatility. While normally used on the ground to provide a hide, we've added a few in our arboreal gecko enclosures and some frog enclosures as additional hides and they love them.

This is another new product we will be updating the site with.

This is really neat. The amount DNA of the Iberian ribbed newt has 6 times that of humans and researchers have mapped the genome revealing the composition and organization of the DNA are linked to its ability to regenerate entire body parts.

I wonder what advancements this will produce in medicine.

Researchers at Karolinska Institutet, in collaboration with teams from Lund University and the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD), have mapped the genome of the Iberian ribbed newt and revealed how the composition and organization of the DNA are linked to its ability to regenerate enti...
