Lambing season 2022 has officially begun and couldn’t be more pleased on the results!

Trudy & Beaus lambs. Trudy gave us 3 beautiful, healthy ram lambs on January 13th. She spit them out like nothing. First one was born at 11:02 am, second at 11:10 and third was at 11:15. She wasted no time cleaning them off and all nursed within a half hour.

I have no idea where the black colour came from but I’ll take it! He’s becoming my favourite little lamb! (Don’t tell the others 🤫) I’m very glad I made the decision of keeping and using Beau for a ram.

Here at Hidden Brook Farm, we are growing our flock of pure katahdin sheep. This breed is a hair breed, that does not require shearing, and does outstandingly well on a grass only diet. We are expecting January 2021 lambs, all sired by Beau, our beautiful home grown ram.
