Our Story

Shuswap Housesitters began to take shape when I was contemplating how to be able to stay for extended periods of time in areas of the world I want to get to know. A house exchange was no longer possible as I was no longer a home owner. The light bulb went on, research showed demand for house sitters was growing, and on June 1, 2009 I began advertising my services as a house & pet sitter. Living in an apartment without any pets of my own (now) allows me to pick up and go whenever, wherever. And when I am not available, I have a network of others I am more than happy to refer.
