Feeding wildlife might seem like a good idea, but is it? 🤔 When you feed wild animals, you may harm the animals you intend to help! How?
⚠️ Human-sourced food may lack the nutrients wild animals need which can lead to malnutrition, bone deformation, and even death.
⚠️ When people feed wildlife, wild animals may become habituated, increasing the chances of negative human-wildlife encounters.
Learn why wildlife feeding is not a good idea!

Our beautiful Wren has come so far! Wren came into our care 125 days ago - she lived in a colony outdoors and didn't have much experience with people. With lots of patience and love, Wren has learned that humans can be trusted. She is looking for a quieter home, maybe with one of her sisters, or with another resident feline to show her the ropes. Wren has been waiting for so long for a special home - could it be yours?

To our amazing supportive community, we wanted to take this moment to share a very touching story with you.
We would like to introduce a resilient group of dogs who recently came to us from a tough situation. Their owner passed away and the 4 dogs were left to fend for themselves for months before our Animal Protection team was alerted.
Unfortunately, during this time, these dogs were not aware of just how dangerous vehicles could be and at one time or another all 4 were hit by cars.
After many attempts to catch this fearful crew of pups our Animal Protection Officers were finally able to get all of them into care.
Each had multiple broken and fractured bones, broken teeth, and wounds all over their bodies. Sadly, to add even more heartache, one of the dogs could not overcome the severity of his injuries. He crossed the rainbow bridge in peace, surrounded by his caring medical team.
Today we would like to highlight one particular superhero of the group!
Meet Sunny, otherwise known as Sunshine. Sunny is the most nervous of the group with a deep mistrust of humans - and we don’t blame him!. When he first arrived he had a broken front paw that he had been walking around on for months, his teeth were all broken and rotten and he was covered in scrapes, bumps and scars. Sunny required medical treatment for his broken leg and still requires a dental to remove his broken and rotten tooth.
What is really amazing is that during his recovery time Sunny really began to shine. He went from a scared and mistrusting dog to a much more confident and happy dog. He can run at full speed now and loves to play and be silly. Join us as we follow Sunny's path to adoption, and a new and amazing life.
