One more day of walks before I head south for warmer temperatures! 🌞
I'll be away for a week and I'm sure it'll fly by, but I'll miss my babies. We've had so much fun this week, the dogs have been loving the new car set up, and I've just felt really happy with how everything is going with the pack.
Hoping to come back feeling refreshed and ready to hustle because it's gonna be a busy month! ❤️

This is Duke. ❤️

Duke is an old friend of mine from when I started pack walking in Calgary with Silver Jet Dog back in 2020. He belonged to Holly, my old boss and now forever friend.

Duke was my demo dog for everything I learned about pack walking. He helped teach me the ropes, and he always let me know when we were almost back at the office on car rides. The best GPS ever! I remember feeling so excited and special when I got to bring him with me on my walks, it was such an honour! The pack was always well behaved around him.

When Jetta came along he helped teach her too. He would show her what was acceptable and not, especially around his people (no jumping on them Jets!). He did end up accepting her and they became lil buddies, spending 2 whole weeks together with Holly when I went on vacation, hiking together and traveling to places she'd never been.

Thanks to Holly for sharing your boy with me and also trusting me with him, some of my favourite memories are of walking with you guys. ❤️

Forever grateful for you buddy. For all of the time we spent together, all of the lessons, and of course, all of the love. You'll never be forgotten. 🌈

It's a good day for a chocolate Charlie pupdate!! 🥰🐾
Charlie is a strong boy with high energy, and he has one speed and that is FAST. Both Maria and I have been working on slowing things down for him from the time we pick him up to drop off. He's learning to sit and wait at thresholds, walk beside us without pulling, and greet his friends more gently. It's been cool to see what he expects now, and I can see him have these little moments of actually slowing down and thinking before doing.
Charlie has a kind heart and just adores his people as much as his puppy friends, I really look forward to seeing this happy boy each week!
Thank you for working so hard for us Charlie, we love you and can't wait to see your progress this year in the pack. ❤️

Well, did you spot him?! This is Rosco!! I'm super excited to welcome him into the pack. He is a beautiful, 4 year old Weimaraner. A breed that holds a special place in my heart. But that's a story for another day. 🥰🐾
This sweet boy goes to play at Fox & Hound often, so he already knew Alfie on his first walk. It was amazing watching them interact, definitely not strangers! Rosco warmed up to his other friends quickly, and even asked for space appropriately already, I loved to see this. It'll be useful to have him walking with the younger pups I think.
Rosco has shown me he is confident in so many ways already, I can't wait to go on more adventures with him! Welcome buddy, let's be best friends! ❤️

There's something quite special about working with dogs. Maybe that's stating the obvious, but after a week off, I realized how much I missed and needed my pups. I've been totally rejuvenated after our walks today. I'm sure both me and Maria will sleep well too! 😂❤️

So grateful for this little business that continues to grow steadily. So grateful for the pack and how much they love us and each other.

First week of January, and to be honest, I feel like it's December still, I'm in a haze. 😂

I'm ready for a busy month with the pack, and although our pack is at capacity, I'm looking forward to meeting new pups and adding them to our waitlist and welcoming them in when we can. I really must buy a bus and clone both me and Maria. Shouldn't be too difficult, right?

For the last couple of years, Maria has gone to the trouble of making us a Bat Pack calendar. She literally sifts through hundreds of pictures, spends hours organizing them, and gets it printed herself, too. I realize I didn't share last year, so here's the 2025 calendar in its entirety! ❤️

9 days until Christmas! We've been feeling very festive even though we've had more rain than snow so far. These guys were champs out there today, Maria included.
Pretty awesome to still be able to say I love going to work even when it pours all day. Nowhere else I'd rather be. ❤️

We do take a little break over the holidays with a few days off here and there. I hope the dogs are ready for some rest. I'm looking forward to recharging and getting ready for a super busy 2025, I'm so ready for a new year with my babies!!

Shout out to Pynies Paws for making my girl's days so much brighter! I love knowing she is so well taken care of while I'm off walking other pups. I also love how many of Jetta's Bat Pack pals are there when I drop her off some days. Thank you Nicole and team for offering us such an amazing service so close to home. We love you! ❤️🐾

We've had the pleasure of taking care of our lil Jax the last few days. I'm really going to miss him when he goes back to his mum! ❤️
He's been the best tiny roommate, and he has enjoyed many pack walks, tons of snuggles (even with Jetta!), snow play, walking in the parade, and of course, like, one million belly rubs.
Love you lil fella, thanks for hanging with us, and I hope you come back soon!

Our last welcome of 2024 goes to SONNY and IRIS! 🥰🐾
I'm so excited to welcome in two adorable beagles with the best personalities. They're from the same mum and dad but different litters, Sonny is a little over 3, and Iris just turned 1. Sonny being the older bro is definitely the more chill, relaxed of the pair. Iris is all puppy energy, and it's adorable watching her figure out pack life.
For beagles with a strong need to sniff, I'm amazed at how well they're walking in the group already and able to engage with me no problem.
Today, they tucked themselves behind me and trotted like they've been pack walking for ages, only getting pulled away by the best smells on the edges of the sidewalk. They're both just little sweethearts who love a good adventure.
I'm so looking forward to seeing these two meet new friends and learn more from the pack, they are so smart I'm sure one day the new kids will have a lot to learn from them too. Welcome babies, we are so happy you're here! ❤️

Time for your pupdate, Miss Blue!! 🥰🐾
As soon as she entered the pack, I knew we were going to have a blast together. Blue is super smart and somewhat sensitive. She is very in tune with her humans, and I can see she wants and loves to do a good job. The way she looks at me when she's done as I asked is my fave. Those blue eyes get me every time.
One of Blue's quirks is she loves the SpongeBob Squarepants theme tune, I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't witness it myself. As soon as she hears the song starting up, she's howling and singing along 😂 she's really quite vocal day to day, but nothing beats her singing!
You're a joy to have in the pack girly, I love your s***k and Husky sass, and wouldn't want you any other way. Thanks for being you! ❤️

Say hello to HARLEY!! 🥰🐾
This 6 year old Aussie boy is such a sweetheart, I knew as soon as I met him he was a gentle soul. He comes from a family who is very invested in exercising him and giving him the best life, and the product is a very obedient and calm boy. He easily just trots beside me already, and we've only had two walks together! So lucky.
Harley is the perfect amount of inquisitive and submissive, he would prefer a quiet life and doesn't want to ruffle any feathers. The way he has greeted his new friends so far has been lovely, all gentle sniffs and tail wags. He didn't even complain on our super rainy walk last week!
I'm really looking forward to getting to know this good boy more and going on more fun adventures, stoked you're here sweet boy! ❤️

This week we welcomed in a new, tiny pack member. Welcome to the crew, KOBE!! 🥰🐾
Yes, he is named after the legend Kobe Bryant. He may not be as tall as he was, but he's just as awesome. This fella is sweet as pie. He loves people and other pups, but he does take a bit of time to warm up to new human friends. I was super happy to see him hop into the car with Jetta and Romeo after being a bit scared of me initially. Once he realized he was meeting lots of nice dogs and going for a fun walk, he relaxed and realized I'm not so bad.
Watching Jetta act as a safe space and role model to the little guy was so special for me. She responded to him right away, and he trotted beside her for the whole walk. They were instant buddies!
I can't wait to watch Kobe progress with me and the pack, gain lots of confidence, and have a ton of fun! I'm so happy you're here with us, buddy. we're gonna be bff's, I promise! ❤️

It may be rainy today, but nothing ever gets this gal down. Time for your pupdate EVEE!! 🥰🐾
Evee joined the pack during a time of great sadness. We were mouring the loss of a very special pack member who she never had the joy of meeting. It was almost like she knew we needed cheering up and bounded into pack life guns blazing! This gal is strong wiled, and I've been watching her benefit from a firm but fair approach in the pack. She LOVES to have a job, especially if that means she is told she is a good girl, followed by some beef liver after a job well done. She is learning that slow is cool, even though she may be bursting with energy.
Evee makes friends with every dog she meets. She's yet to meet a pup she doesn't like, and vice versa. Even the littles tolerate her feisty and happy greetings.
Thank you, Evee, for bringing a bunch of sunshine into our lives and keeping us on our toes. We love ya girly!

Big fan of weaving before we head off for our walk. Some groups need 1 minute, some 5 minutes or more. If we don't set the tone of how we would like our walk to go, it's easy for the dogs to set off pulling and zigzagging all over, especially when we go trail walking. Who can blame them?! Crazy world, lotta smells. Here, we are encouraging the dogs to follow instead of lead. It makes a world of difference for us, and (most) of the dogs love it. 😂🐾 #gooddogs #packlife #slowdown
