We’ve been made aware of active cases starting already this season so everyone be on the look out for symptoms so we can keep all of the pups safe!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

Canine cough is making its appearance this season! Symptoms to look for in your pup include: Coughing, sneezing, runny nose, fever, and lack of energy or loss of appetite. If your dog is showing these symptoms please keep them home! Keep them home from kennels, dog parks, groomers, pet friendly stores and dog friendly trails. Consult your veterinarian and find the care that is right for you and your pup!

Also please remember to be kind to your pet care professionals during outbreaks. We hate to see your poor pups sick too. We do everything we can to detect early symptoms and sanitize our facilities from top to bottom to help reduce the spread of canine cough. We do not have a secret lab where we formulate kennel cough but rather it enters our facility through asymptomatic dogs and once inside this highly contagious airborne illness spreads. It can be passed to another dog through saliva while playing, shared air, shared water buckets and pools, even shared sniffing patches after a dog has left! Bordetella vaccinations can help reduce the spread but unfortunately does not protect your pup from all strains of canine cough!
