Happy Friday, everyone!
A few weeks ago, a good Samaritan found 6 cats abandoned in a house that was being boarded up. We have taken in Momma and her 5 kittens, but we have hit a small hiccup. Scrimp (small, black) is the runt of the litter and has had a faint positive FeLV test.
We are reaching out today to see if we have any devoted followers *WITHOUT PETS* who would be willing to foster these guys for maximum 2 months. They need to be quarantined and retested to make sure Scrimp has fought off the virus, and that the other 5: Momma Misty (Siamese mix), Felix (orange), Duchess (fluffy grey), Nibbler (larger black), and Bubs (grey tabby) remain FeLV negative. Since they have all been exposed, it is alright for us to keep them together while we wait out this quarantine period.
We are looking for someone that can provide them enough room to play and relax without them being in a room (they have learned there are spaces bigger than rooms and are impossible to keep from exploring 😆)
If anyone would be able to help us house these guys until we can retest we would be incredibly grateful. We're hoping this whole family can eventually come to the cafe when they all clear their testing.
