It seems there is a yucky bug going around 🤧🤒

We will resume full business hours on Thursday, Sept 18 from 12pm-8pm

Happy Friday, everyone!

A few weeks ago, a good Samaritan found 6 cats abandoned in a house that was being boarded up. We have taken in Momma and her 5 kittens, but we have hit a small hiccup. Scrimp (small, black) is the runt of the litter and has had a faint positive FeLV test.

We are reaching out today to see if we have any devoted followers *WITHOUT PETS* who would be willing to foster these guys for maximum 2 months. They need to be quarantined and retested to make sure Scrimp has fought off the virus, and that the other 5: Momma Misty (Siamese mix), Felix (orange), Duchess (fluffy grey), Nibbler (larger black), and Bubs (grey tabby) remain FeLV negative. Since they have all been exposed, it is alright for us to keep them together while we wait out this quarantine period.

We are looking for someone that can provide them enough room to play and relax without them being in a room (they have learned there are spaces bigger than rooms and are impossible to keep from exploring 😆)

If anyone would be able to help us house these guys until we can retest we would be incredibly grateful. We're hoping this whole family can eventually come to the cafe when they all clear their testing.

Please Help Identify:

At approximately 3:50pm to 4:01pm, these two individuals were lurking around the cafe and stole two bicycles belonging to our guests that were locked up outside.

A police report has been filed by the owners of the bikes, and our pictures/videos have been submitted to the police as well.

If anyone knows either of these people, please reach out to me at the cafe or to the Saskatoon Police Service.

It is incredibly unfortunate and infuriating that people are so brazen to steal things in broad daylight knowing that there will be no punishment for them, especially on a holiday when there are no special constables on patrol downtown 😡

If you are riding your bike to the cafe, please let us know and we will allow you to keep your bike inside until you are ready to leave.

We have 5 new kitties who have recently joined us 😻

These kittens range from 4 months old to 1 year old 😺

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I would like to introduce 2 new policies beginning today:

1. Our front door will remain locked during business hours, and we will be accessible by doorbell. I have put our merchandise on display up front, and with the door being unlocked, it makes our merch a vulnerable and easy target for theft, especially if we are working in the back with the cats.

2. We are now a SHOE-FREE facility year round. Outdoor shoes must be removed, and socks MUST be worn. If you do not have socks, we have unisex socks available for purchase for $2 a pair. *This policy can be modified for wheelchair users and for guests with reduced mobility*

Happy Sunday! 😺

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has made Sarcan Drop and Go donations, etransfer/cash donations, those who have donated their time to our cause, and everyone who has stopped in for admission, snacks to-go, or purchased merchandise to support our move to a new location ❤️❤️

The details about our move are still wishy-washy. We are looking for the best possible space that suits our current needs, the need for a small kitchen, and potentially the opportunity to expand in the future. Our next location is hopefully going to be our permanent location, which is why finding a spot is so challenging.

I appreciate your patience while we iron out this very wrinkly process! I will update everyone as soon as I have something formally signed.

Still, THANK YOU!! for everyone's amazing support and love for our cause. Myself and the cats feel valued in our community, and that keeps us pushing for the very best we can be!

hand painted, individual sized teapots available today for the last day of the sale! They hold about 350mL and are dishwasher resistant and microwave resistant!

Each teapot is $25 and proceeds support our kitties and our move!

*we have more teapots they just need to be painted and cured before they will be available at the cafe :)
