I regret to inform you that as of Jan 31, 2025 my beef supplier will be closing its doors.

Once the stock runs out I will no longer carry the pre-made beef patties.

I am I'm search of a new supplier but haven't secured one yet.

If you need any beef products, (bones, organs, trim) please get your orders in as soon as possible.

Huge Shout out Andrei from Nestor's Bakery for translating over the phone for me tonight.

An elderly man approached me while i was working in the gargae asking if i knew where 1822 was. After a few minutes of trying to figure out what he was looking for through his broken english i asked him what language he spoke. He told me it was Russian Ukrainian.. Im not sure why but i immediately thought to call Nestor's Bakery to see if someone could translate for the gentleman. Thankfully Andrei answered the phone and was happy to help. His shift was going to be done in 15 minutes and I called back a second time and he was kind enough to provide his cell number to continue to help in the hunt to find where the lost fellow belonged.

It was a lot of back and fourth and I discovered the man also had his wife with him but she was waiting at a bench as she was tired from walking. They ended up quite aways from where they should have been.

I called the Saskatoon Police Service and they came and between all of us we were able to figure out exactly where the couple needed to be. They ended up taking a wrong turn after leaving the grocery store and were far away from where they needed to be.

I was so grateful to help them safely return home.

it takes a village

Shingles update.

I'm on my last day on IV anti viral treatment. 3 doses to go. It's been a struggle with the IVs blowing almost daily. I've discovered I have small sensitive veins. Thankfully getting new IVs doesn't phase me but I hate calling to ask for one because it makes me feel like an inconvenience.

The rash has improved so much. My skin is no longer burning however the crusted sores are quite uncomfortable when they crack or I scratch them. I know you're not supposed to scratch but honestly I do it without thinking.

The nerve pain is something else. That has definitely increased. I describe it as wearing a dog shock collar on the highest setting and not knowing when it's going to hit. The nerve zings cause an automatic response that looks like the start of a seizure. Also my nerves on the affected areas are so over stimulated that laying on my left side can cause an intense burning/pain due to nerve contact. Let's not even talk about how sensitive my jaw is. Chewing for any period of time causes sensation I never want to feel again.

I hope my IV can survive the last 3 doses and that I'm on the mend real soon. I increased my nerve blocker medication today with hope that helps the situation.

I can't wait to get back up and running and sleep through the night. The 1am dose is killing me.

Onwards and upwards.
