A longtime stray in his neighbourhood, Big Siggy was initially brought in to us as a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release), but over the year since, his caregiver worked on earning his trust. Over many nightly visits on the porch, Big Siggy slowly got comfortable with humans and worked his way up to receiving some gentle pets; he was then brought into care to enjoy indoor life! He’s still a bit of a shy guy but in the quiet evenings and overnight, Big Siggy loves to be right next to his people! 💙 This brave boy will reward your patience with loud purrs, kisses, and LOTS of snuggles! We have another gorgeous glow-up to show you.
Cornbread may be siblings with Coconut but may also just be pals!
In 4 weeks Cornbread has transformed from a very sick, skinny, and scared boy to a much healthier hefty boy who, while still a bit skittish, is starting to love attention and purrs very loudly almost the instant you make eye contact with him. He is gentle and very tolerant of all the medicating he’s endured.
We are still working on getting him healthy enough for adoption - we started a course of antiviral medication yesterday and he is also being treated for an ear infection. Thanks to City Park Vet for taking such good care of him!

Check out this incredible glow-up!
4 weeks ago Coconut was very sick and severely emaciated. Yesterday she was healthy enough to be spayed and she has more than doubled her weight! Surprisingly her ear is upright now but she may still lose part of it. Coconut still has upper respiratory symptoms after treatment so she started antiviral medication as well. We hope that she will be adoptable soon. She is sweet but nervous so will need someone patient with her as she continues to come out of her shell. Thanks to City Park Vet for her care!

* COSMO HAS BEEN FOUND! *

🚨 S**T alumni J***y (now named Cosmo) has been missing from the 800 block of Avenue G North in Saskatoon since last night, January 2. Cosmo is a 1-year-old short-haired orange tabby neutered male with white feet and a white chest, and was wearing a navy blue bandana with tags. Cosmo is a bit of a shy boy so will likely be scared and/or hiding.

2 week update on Coconut (folded ear) and Cornbread!
Coconut is doing better than we could have ever imagined. she is 8 months old and started at 1100 grams, this morning she weighed in at 1760 grams, that’s a 60% increase! She has filled out a ton but looks like a cat half her age. She is still sneezing but doesn’t sound as congested anymore. She has started to play and she really likes to snuggle.
Cornbread started out at 1700 grams and he weighed in at 2555 grams this morning! He unfortunately had a set back with his upper respiratory infection and needed stronger meds but he is slowly improving. He has some digestive issues as well but those are also improving. He is finally feeling better enough to start showing an interest in toys. He is definitely not as confident as his sister and needs lots of socialization to get over his fear. In the meantime if you can catch him he absolutely loves to be pet and has a huge purr 😻
These cuties are absolutely loving the warm indoor life and the good food. They have a vet appointment on Friday and will hopefully be well enough to vaccinate and we will get an idea of when they might be able to be spayed/neutered.

Dear Santa Paws,

For 14 years I’ve been writing to you as Tori, which suits me well! But my foster family calls me Uzuri, which means “beauty”, and I think that’s fitting too! This year, I would like a new brush, because I LOVE my brushing sessions! I could also use a new blanket because as I’m sure you know, there’s nothing better than snuggling up beside your favourite person on a wintery day. Also, if you could get a big bowl just for me, so my foster family can fill it up with water and I can play in it- I love scooping water up and splashing around! As usual, I would like some wet cat food and fuzzy crinkle balls to play with- just like last year! But most of all, I would like my very own forever family, Santa Paws. I’ve always been on the nice list as I’m a friendly, loving kitty who enjoys everyone I meet, including other cats and tiny humans. I know I’m a little old to be writing to you at 14, but I hope that you can help me live out the rest of my days in a safe, warm, happy forever home!
