We love to see puppies come in early for grooming!

Grooming is a very important part of pet life. And just like any other skill it takes time, practice, and consistency.

We recommend puppies come in after their second set of shots and then every 2-4 weeks for the first few appointments. We slowly introduce the grooming process and tools with each visit. they learn about the bath, dryer, nail clippers, and brushes. As they build trust and confidence they experience scissors, clippers, and more. We also provide honest feedback, things that need a bit of work, and tricks to help with that.

As your puppy grows we slowly move appointments to 6 and 8 week time periods. By then you should have a puppy that is well socialized with the grooming process and confident to come in to see us!

Calypso came in for her very first grooming. She did so well!

We love to see puppies come in at a young age to get used to the grooming process.

We recommend they start coming in after their 2nd set of shots and once a month for 3-4 appointments to keep up on grooming training.

Congratulations to Jovi Wagner!

Jovi, a professional groomer since 1999, has competitively honed her skills since 2015. Internationally renowned and multiple best in show winning, she specializes in handstripping and grooming sporting dogs. As a second-generation groomer, she grew up handling dogs at conformation shows and breeds Irish Wolfhounds and Welsh Terriers under the registered kennel name TIROC.

With a keen understanding of grooming requirements and breed-specific structures, Jovi, through attending conformation shows and connecting with breeders, has become a respected figure in her field. Since 2001, she has owned one of Saskatchewan, Canada's top salons and has held a prominent position as one of Canada's highest-ranking groomers since 2016.

Jovi went as the alternate for the team in 2017. And in 2022, Jovi captained Groom Team Canada, representing the Wirecoat class at the World Team competition in Kortrijk, Belgium. Her commitment to grooming education is evident through her advocacy for continuous learning. She thoroughly enjoys sharing her expertise by conducting seminars and private lessons, embodying the belief that learning in the grooming industry is a lifelong journey.

She is looking forward to representing Canada as the Captain again in Waregem, Belgium this September.

Did you know that we offer cat only grooming days?

One day a month, Caturday Saturday, we offer a full day of only cat grooming. This creates less stress for your furry, feline, friend.

As always, our cat grooming is done straight through so they are not sitting around all day getting stressed or agitated.

Our Caturday’s fill up quite quickly and we always recommend that you book well in advance.

IMPORTANT: I am in search of someone to take over SaskPets.

I have put my heart and soul into the building of this community for the past 3 years. I have met so many amazing people, business owners and pets and it has been such a great experience. I am moving this spring and my path has changed and am ready to pass the torch to someone else who is willing to continue building and maintaining this community and the website.

SaskPets is an online platform and can be run from anywhere in Saskatchewan!

Great information, selection, and value.
I highly recommend you check them out. The cheese case is loaded with a large assortment of cheeses as well as lots of goodies to pair with.

Look at all that hair!
Bathing is a very important step of the grooming process. It removes the grease from the coat to prevent matting and helps reduce shedding.
