In light of a couple recent incidents in the grooming community in Saskatoon, we have had many clients ask more about our policies and procedures.
I think this is great! So we are going to outline a few of ours and why they exists in our salon.
Your pet’s safety is our first priority, followed by the safety of our staff.
🐾 Pets are crated when they are not being worked on. This allows us to give our full attention to the animal on our table.
There is a Dutch door as well as a solid gate that is between our grooming space and the front door.
🐾We are quite firm with our drop off and pick up times as we only allow one client in at a time. We do this to avoid multiple people and pets in our front entry. To keep everyone safe we assume all pets are uncomfortable with other animals and strangers.
🐾We are honest about your pet’s behaviour. This allows us to work together to create a comfortable experience for both you and your pet. Sometimes the nails aren’t as short as we would like because Fido was sensitive about having them done. Or the face isn’t as perfect as we would like because they were nervous about having it handled. We can give advice on homework to help us in the salon as we build a trustful relationship with your pet.
We will always sacrifice a perfect groom for the safety and comfort of your pet.
🐾Yes we use muzzles when needed. This is for the safety of your pet and/or our staff. Sometimes dogs like to lick while we are sc******ng feet. This can be dangerous as our shears are very sharp! So a quick muzzle for 2-3 minutes keeps the tongue away from our shears. Sometime dogs hate to have their nails trimmed. Muzzling for that part allows us to concentrate 100% on doing it quickly while reducing stress rather than where those pearly whites are.
We always strive to provide a safe and positive experience for your pet and a transparent relationship with you.
As always please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have about our facility!
