We have been getting a lot of messages from folks concerned about the upcoming forecast and what the snow may do to their scheduled appts.
So for all of the one time "spring cleanup" people who are booked on Wednesday/Thursday..
We are just playing things by ear right now.

If the snow does hit, we will reach out and shuffle you around wherever we are able to. Not to worry we WILL get to you.

We are crossing our fingers maybe the forecast changes over the next couple of days.🤞

And for all of our twice weekly, weekly and biweekly regulars. We will be there on schedule regardless what the weather decides to do.

Looks like we are finally headed into warmer weather!! Yay! 🌞
However, this also means your yards are probably starting to show signs of all of your dogs' "hard work" from over the winter.
Well that's where we come in!!

We do the dirty work so you don't have to! 💩

We are currently taking bookings for spring cleanups. Please take a quick read through the pinned post on our page for more information and some FAQs!
Things are filling up fast, so I recommend getting in touch soon to secure a spot!

As promised I've put together some information regarding the upcoming spring season. And what you guys can do to help things run smoothly for everyone 💜

When you get IN TOUCH to BOOK.
Please let us know:
-where you're located
- how many dogs you have
- approximately when was the last time the waste was picked up
- is your yard majority grass, rock or dirt.

These factors help us determine what day to put you on, and the length of time we figure the job will take. They do NOT affect the price, so please be honest so that you're booked in appropriately.

WHEN to BOOK:
You're welcome to get in touch at any time to secure a spot!
However, we are aiming for mid April (ish) right now to allow things to melt off.
We do REQUIRE the snow and ice to be a minimum of 90% gone (better yet gone, and things are dried up).
This is better for everyone involved. You get a job that's worthy of your money, and you wont have to deal with a 2nd pickup when things do finally melt. And we aren't stuck in a single yard for hours breaking our backs chipping at ice.

Please remember our biggest season, and what sustains us year round and allows us to continue to offer this service... is the spring time.
So we have to get through jobs as efficiently and smoothly as possible (while still providing the quality you've come to expect!).

RESPONSES:
Please allow up to 48 hours for us to get back to you. I am taking care of all of the communication and booking, but also out on the job all day. Your patience is incredibly appreciated!!
If that 48 hour window has come and gone however, then please send another msg. There's always a chance some get lost in the shuffle.

On the DAY OF YOUR APPT:
As I tell everyone when you book, we work from 7am-8pm. Your appt could fall anywhere within that window on your specific date. We WILL be in touch with 20-45 minutes' notice before arrival.

At this time please:

- unlock your gates
- if the latch is tough to open/hard to reach etc please prop the gate open for us
- remove any obstacles from around the yard, and especially near the exit!
The bags are incredibly heavy when we are done. For our safety we really appreciate a clear path. If we are unable to get the bags out of the yard, they will be left for you to deal with.
- have your dogs in the house or garage. We LOVE to meet everyone's dogs!!!
But during the spring rush we just don't have the time to properly be introduced/make them comfortable with us.

We understand you may want a more specific window of time. Unfortunately we can't provide that. There are so many variables throughout our day that it's impossible to predict. And being a "one car team" we need to stick to a specific route to fit as many people in as possible.
We do NOT require you to be home while we are there though.

PAYMENT:
We require payment as SOON as the job is complete.

If paying cash please let us know beforehand, and have it hidden somewhere safe. Or be ready to meet up with our team when things are complete.

If payment is by etransfer please have that sent over immediately when you get the msg we are finished up. And remember to include your address in the memo line. This is so we don't confuse your payment with anyone else's.

People often ask if they can tip.
Absolutely you can! We never expect a tip, but they are always very appreciated. And they go directly to whoever is doing the job for you.

CANCELING/FEES:
We require a MINIMUM of 48 hours (more is even better whenever possible! ) to cancel or postpone. Anything within that window is subject to a cancelation fee.
The closer to your appt time, the higher the fee.
We need to have time to fill your spot and shuffle people around. Please be mindful of this.

The one exception is if we have a snow storm! No one can predict what the weather is going to do. IF that happens we will be in touch with whoever is booked on the affected days, to move you around.

There is also a fee for any yards that are not accessible upon our arrival. We won't be tracking people down to let us in. The yard needs to be prepared before we show up.

For our REGULARS:
All of our twice weekly, weekly, biweekly and monthly year round regulars - your days will remain the same throughout the spring. However the time at which we show up will likely vary. Once the crazy rush is over things will go back to normal. Thanks for your understanding!! 💜

Thank you all so much for your kind words and well wishes on our last post 💔 it's been a tough few days. But it's so greatly appreciated.

So... just wanted to chat a bit about our upcoming spring thaw. As of right now, and after looking at the forecast we are estimating the snow and ice will likely be around until about mid April.

Things need to be melted off for us to do a good job for you. It's awful out there currently (as I'm sure my regulars can attest to!).
We of course try to chip everything we are able to out of the ice. But the ice is rock solid this year and there's a LOT of residue (😬 sorry for that mental image) being left behind.
Unfortunately there's just nothing we can do about that. Not to mention what is below the ice that we can't even see.

Waiting for things to melt, and better yet dry up a little bit benefits us and you. You'll have a job done that's worthy of your money. And we won't break our backs chipping at ice for hours on end.

And for our twice weekly, weekly, biweekly and monthly regulars - Just a quick reminder to check that your gates aren't frozen shut before our arrival.
And thank you so much for your patience. Our timing is way off right now, as each job is taking about triple the amount of time as they normally do. (Thanks Saskatchewan weather 🙄).

Here's hoping for a quick melt, a streamlined busy season, and that we are able to get to as MANY of you as possible again this year!

Hey everyone.
today is a very sad day here at Call of Doody. I had to let my little love, my soul dog Manson, cross over the Rainbow Bridge. There aren't words to express how hard this has been. I know if anyone is going to understand, though, it's all of the amazing dog lovers here.
I just ask that you please give a little extra time for responses over the next while as I try to navigate this.

So that was a fun little Facebook outage today, wasn't it? 🤣 Got us thinking - would it be possible for all of our regulars (people on a twice weekly, weekly, biweekly and monthly schedule) that normally get in touch through messenger to please send us a backup phone number to use just in case something like this happens again?

With this crazy warm weather we are experiencing things have gotten hectic a bit earlier than expected. For anyone looking for a one time pickup please know we are booked solid into March right now. Im so sorry for any inconvenience! However I also suspect we will be in for more snow before the end of the season. So anyone wanting a full spring cleanup waiting until April (ish) will be very beneficial. There's only so much we can do when we are contending with snow for one time pickups.

We are also looking at a lot of ice in your yards right now. This can make it tough to give you the thorough pickup we normally provide, and it really slows things down on our end. Meaning we aren't able to squeeze as many of you onto a day as we may otherwise be able to.

Being on a regular (weekly/biweekly) schedule over the winter months can help a lot when we have unusual years like this, and it saves the big mess when the spring thaw hits.

Quick reminder too to make sure your gates are accessible with the recent ice buildup :)

Happy New Year everyone!! 🥳
Please bare with me, I have a long post ahead with some important information:

So it's looking like our "no snow" luck this winter might be running out. This is a good time to remind everyone that we DO work year round.
However, the first snowfall that covers everything is a tough one if you're a new yard.
We won't be able to guarantee a thorough job is done if we are unable to see the waste. Any of our new folks booked in over the next week or so we will be in touch before your appt to see how you'd like to proceed.

For our twice weekly, weekly and biweekly "regulars" we will leave it up to you whether you'd like to cancel this week or not. Please let us know asap though! We are pretty familiar with your dogs' areas and how much waste is typically out there, so yours shouldn't be as much of an issue.

We also want to remind everyone to please make sure your yards are accessible before our arrival. Our days are scheduled down to the minute, so having to make the drive for nothing, or wait around for the gates to be unlocked or cleared of snow just isn't do-able. You will be charged for the missed appt (regulars), or a last min cancelation fee (new jobs) if this happens.

And last but not least - please keep up with your payments this year. We have had a lot of trouble with having to track people down/sending reminders about missed, or forgotten payments.
We let everyone know the fee BEFORE we even put you on the schedule. So please be prepared to pay for the finished job on time. If something changes and you know you're unable to cover the cost, please cancel your appt.
We are quite understanding that life happens. But staying in touch and making an effort to pay down the bill asap is greatly appreciated.
Coming into the new year, we can't be quite as lenient as we have been. This goes for both new jobs and regulars. Failure to keep up could result in being removed from the schedule, and potentially banned from booking in the future.

I'm doing my best to keep my prices affordable for everyone. But with rising costs, and people not paying on time this is getting increasingly difficult. Please remember this isn't a hobby of mine, or a favor I'm doing. This is my job. And I too have bills to pay.

Hello everyone!
This isn't something we would normally post here, but this sweet gal is very much in need of a home.
One of our amazing clients rescued this beautiful (2 - ish year old) dog named Maisie. She was in incredibly rough shape when they took her in..
With some love, and a lot of care she's in good health now and ready to find a suitable home.
Unfortunately they are unable to keep her as their female dog was having some dominance issues with Maisie. Due to this we do want to caution female dog owners.
She's been great with any males she's met.
She's good with kids, although she is exitable.

I've had the pleasure of meeting her a few times and she is as sweet as can be!!
She would make a wonderful addition to the right home.

If anyone is looking for a new furry family member, or knows someone that is please feel free to reach out through our page and we will pass along all information to the current owner. 💜

In light of the recent snowfall we figured this would be a good time to remind everyone that we DO work throughout the winter to keep your yard looking great!

Being on a pickup schedule once the snow falls saves you a great deal of mess, and hassle when the spring thaw hits.
Not to mention it's easier on your lawn, and safer for your pets/household!

However, due to the limited daylight hours coming into winter, we are down to only a couple of spots left for regularly scheduled pickups (twice weekly, weekly and biweekly). These will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
