🐾 Cookie is a handsome tabby cat who appeared in a barn just outside of Saskatoon. The farm owners asked the surrounding farms if Cookie belonged to them and posted him on the lost & found pets page, but no one was looking for him. The farm owners became distressed because their own barn cats were making themselves cold outside by refusing to be inside the barn at the same time as him. Cookie is a friendly boy who is nice to everyone he meets- both human and cats, so it wasn’t his intention to upset any other cats living there. Cookie came to our rescue and was placed in temporary foster care where he was found to have ear mites but was in otherwise great condition. He has now been neutered, vaccinated and treated for ear mites so he is up for adoption and looking for his forever home! 🏡 Cookie has a very sweet, submissive and laid-back personality. He comes for attention, and rolls over to receive belly rubs ❤️

🐾 There is just over a week left to purchase a $90 flash tattoo from Jdii Arts and Designs where 50% of the cost supports Tails of Hope Cat Rescue and the Saskatoon SPCA! So many adorable tattoos have been done through this “Ink Fur-Paws” fundraiser that we’ve included photos of 🐱

Thank you to Jdii Arts & Designs and to everyone who has shown their support! This fundraiser is running until January 15th for anyone interested in purchasing a flash tattoo that contributes towards helping animals in need.

🐾 In the last month we have taken 8 new cats into our rescue’s care ❤️‍🩹 We will be sharing each of their individual stories soon 📖

We urgently need foster homes for Cookie, Ziggy, Rupert and Marley who are in temporary care. We are unable to accept new cats in need into our rescue until we find foster homes for these cats💔If you’re interested in helping save cats in need and giving them a safe, loving place to stay during their transition to an adoptive home, please contact us for a foster home application! 🏡

We also urgently need medical funds, food and litter to provide these new cats with the care they need. So far, Cookie and Nacho have gotten their full checkup, vaccinations, dewormer and neuters, and Mushu is scheduled to have his done this week. Chrissy has also received her first round of vaccinations and dewormer. We need your help to give the rest of these cats their medical needs! 🏥

To donate to the medical care of these new cats, please e-transfer 📧 [email protected], to donate your recycling to our medical fund type in “tails of hope” when you take your recycling to any SARCAN drop & go kiosk, or to sponsor a cat please contact us and you can donate partially or fully towards the medical expenses of the cat right to the vet clinic.

🐾 Congratulations to Hermione, Harper & Harlow 🎉 on getting adopted in their new loving forever home! ❤️🏡

Hermione, Harper and Harlow are 3 of 5 kittens who were born outside in the Sutherland area from their mama cat Harriet. They were 5 weeks old when they were rescued just after the first snow fall. Their sisters, Holly and Hazel, are also now up for adoption and have a possible adopter interested in meeting them! The kittens’ mom, Harriet, is still quite scared of people and is being socialized in foster care before being placed up for adoption. ❤️‍🩹

🐾 We are so grateful to the The Knittins for Kittins Project - Saskatoon for bringing so much comfort and joy to the cats and kittens who have come into our rescue ❤️🐱 The Knittins for Kittens project is a kind hearted group of volunteers who knit and crochet blankets and toys for foster cats to enjoy in their foster home and take with them to their furever homes when adopted to help provide comfort and familiarity during their transition. Each cat and kitten that comes through our rescue receives their own blanket and toy! Below are photos of the first haul we received from Knittins for Kittins along with many happy cats and kittens that have come into our rescue 🧶

The Knittins for Kittins project currently has a Christmas 🎄 fundraiser up to help their volunteers continue knitting and crocheting for rescue kitties! The fundraiser ends tonight at midnight. If you’re able to, please show some support by purchasing tickets in their gift bag draw! 🎟️

🐾 We would like to gratefully thank the kind hearted volunteers who have been helping us try to trap the missing tuxedo cat from Viscount that got away near the Eye gallery on College Dr. 🪤Our volunteers have been going to the traps to check them and refresh the food inside. A huge thank you to Kelsey, Marthe, Rebecca, Brittney, Emily, Tiyonna, Alishia and Brooklyn, as well as to a neighbour named Sarah who has been greatly helping us.

We are continuing to try to trap this poor cat and appreciate all the help we can get! ❤️‍🩹 If you’d like to volunteer to check the trap for us to give him the best chance of being caught, please contact us! 🐾

🚨Help urgently needed! 🚨
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to check a cat trap for us in the College Dr. / University area. We’re still trying to trap the tuxedo cat from Viscount that got away on Friday afternoon outside the eye gallery. There have been possible sightings and paw prints leading up to the trap, so we hope he’s still close. 🐾

We’re grateful to a neighbour who has been watching the trap when she can and our amazing volunteer Kelsey who has spent a lot of time going to check the trap. We need other volunteers who can go check the trap even once or twice when possible so that we can leave it set in between the times others can check it. We can’t leave the trap set and open if there aren’t any volunteers to check it when we aren’t available. Contact us if you’re able to help! ❤️‍🩹

🚨 Please keep an eye out for this male tuxedo cat in the College Dr / the Eye Gallery area! 🙏🏻 He is fearful but loves food if you offer him some. He’s not used to Saskatoon and will be very scared. If you see him please let us know and we’ll rush there. If you’re able to contain him shortly, that would be so helpful! He is an outdoor cat from Viscount and managed to get away from us when we were transferring him carriers at our vehicle so he could go to foster care 💔

🐾 Louie was an abandoned cat in Asquith. He came to our rescue with 2 other abandoned cats, Nitara, who has also been adopted, and her sister Nori, who is still up for adoption! Louie was adopted from our rescue in June and has been enjoying his new life in his loving, forever home 💗🏡
