As a registered charitable organization, the Saskatoon SPCA relies on the generosity of individual and corporate donors to raise necessary funds to provide shelter, care, nutrition and love to an average of 4,000 abandoned, lost, homeless and neglected animals annually. In addition to raising awareness about responsible pet ownership and providing adoption programs, lost and found and volunteer pr

ograms, the Saskatoon SPCA is also responsible to promote and enact laws that protect animals from cruelty, neglect and abuse through Animal Protection Services, with an aim to create a more compassionate world where animals are valued and treated with respect.

🚨 We’re down to just three bags of kitten food — and we have over 60 hungry kittens in our care! 😿

Whether they’re in the shelter or in foster homes, these little ones rely on us for everything — including proper nutrition so they can grow up healthy and strong.

🌸 A huge thank you to CIMA+ for donating their time and muscle to help us bring back something we’ve really missed—our gazebo! After an afternoon of hard work, it's finally standing proud at our new location. 💪☀️

We also want to give a special shoutout to the Buechler family, who originally donated the gazebo and recently added a beautiful touch with fresh flowers to make the space even more welcoming. 🌼

Thanks to your generosity, our team, volunteers, and shelter pets now have a lovely shady spot to enjoy this summer. 💚

We’re in urgent need of two key items:

🍼 Kitten kibble – Growing kittens need age-appropriate food to build strong bodies and healthy immune systems. Adult food just doesn’t meet their needs.

🧺 Unscented laundry soap – With dozens of loads of laundry every day, we rely on scent-free, sensitive-skin detergent to keep things clean and safe for the animals.

💡 It’s Amazon Prime Days, which means it’s a great time to save a little money and help animals in need!

🐾 Office life suits these two just fine!

Lynn (black - 1 year, 2 months) and Maxine (tortie -1.5 years) are currently thriving in our Office Foster program, spending their days at Cherry Insurance—and winning hearts in the process!

Lynn has become playful, adventurous, and quite the chatterbox. Maxine is still on the shy side, but she enjoys quiet company and will seek out a cozy spot near her human coworkers.

The two are good friends—they play, groom each other, and cuddle often (until they get too warm and need a break!).

They can be adopted together or separately, depending on what’s best for their future families.

Roman is a 1.5 year old Alaskan husky type dog. This handsome boy is smart, sweet, and ready to find a home to call his own.

He knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and kennels like a pro. Roman has even lived with cats in his previous home. With his friendly nature, Roman would be a great fit for any home that can keep up with a husky and give him all the love he deserves.

🌈🐾 Meet Nova! 🐾🌈

At just 6 months old, Nova has already proven herself to be a true social butterfly. This stunning husky/malamute type mix was a star ambassador at our recent fundraising BBQ and proudly marched in the Pride Parade, soaking up every bit of attention and affection from the crowd.

High-energy, playful, and full of curiosity, Nova is ready for a life of adventure. She’s great with people of all ages, other dogs, and even cats! If you’re looking for a companion who’s always up for fun and cuddles, Nova might be your perfect match. 💕

She’s patiently (ok, maybe not so patiently!) waiting to meet her forever family.

As you celebrate, don’t forget to keep your pets safe:
🐾 Keep them indoors and away from fireworks
🐾 Create a quiet space with familiar sounds (TV, fan, white noise)
🐾 Make sure ID tags and microchips are up to date
🐾 Never bring pets to fireworks displays
