Signs of heat stroke in dogs include excessive panting, drooling, and bright red gums. If you believe your dog may be suffering from heat stroke, call your vet immediately.

Saskatoon - We need your help!

Our cat population is at critical capacity. Did you know that the animals you see on our adoption page are only a fraction of the population we have at the shelter? Between cats in foster care, cats in their pound holding period, cats under observation, and cats waiting for their spay/neuter surgeries, we currently have a very full 168 cats in our care. We need your help to keep cats flowing through our adoption center, to make room for the constant influx of animals arriving. If you've ever thought about adopting, now is the time!

In an effort to increase cat adoptions, we will be opening our cat rooms for casual viewings again on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-5 BEGINNING NEXT TUESDAY ( June 28th). Our dog rooms will remain closed for casual viewings. We will be limiting the number of people allowed into our adoption center to 15 people at a time - so be prepared to wait outside if there is a line-up! We recommend that you fill out an application ahead of time to help expedite the adoption process, but it is not necessary to view cats during these "viewing hours". Outside of these hours, we will still be operating on an appointment-only basis.

Remember that all cats and kittens located at the shelter are "pick your price", which means you can choose what you would like to pay! Cats located at our satellite locations (Petsmart Meadows and both Petland locations) are 50$ to adopt.
